Adoption is truly beautiful.

We would have loved for this process to be shorter, but we were meant to wait.

Giving up on our dream was never an option.

Our daughter knows that her birth family loves her and loves us as part of her family. That is all that really matters.

We leaned on each other often and continued to have faith that our family was meant to grow through the loving arms of a birthmother.

Each tough moment led us right where we were supposed to be, and that was with James in our arms.

After our first FaceTime call, we both knew right away that she was the one - the birthmother of our future child.

Adoption is a roller coaster ride, but we were buckled up and ready to go!

We felt stretched thin but knew we had to continue to provide as much support as we could.

We are beyond grateful to have experienced this journey and come out as a family at the end of it.

The nursery we had so carefully planned and decorated was finally home to our son, but in that moment, we both realized it was never about the nursery or how ready our home felt but how complete our family felt.
We focused on ourselves and our grief, and when we were ready, we chose to move forward with adoption.
Adoption is a roller coaster ride.

This was the journey meant for us, and we were strong enough to handle it.

Even when it does not seem like it, something better that is meant for you is out there.

We had dreamed of this moment, and suddenly here it was. Less than 24 hours before, we were preparing for a cruise, but now we were parents to the sweetest baby girl.

Remember that the expectant mother is going through a lot, and showing empathy and compassion for her is important.

Even if the road is long or bumpy, trust the process.

I loved knowing that the Angel staff was just as concerned for the birthmother’s well-being and that she had a coordinator just like I did.

That day, it was almost impossible to balance the emotions of what I so badly wanted and what was right, which was giving Emersyn’s birthparents the freedom to make their choice.

We had to remember the person on the other side of the phone and that this was not the most exciting time in her life.

Rio is our greatest blessing, and without his birthmother and birthfather, we would not be the parents we are today.

While our adoption journey was fairly straightforward and without complications, it was still an incredibly emotional one.

Your baby is out there, and you need to stay strong to find him or her.

We know each of those questions and our doubts were all in our heads. By relaxing and trusting the process, we were brought the child meant for us.

Our story is defined by the unconditional love that moved mountains so he could be with us.

We didn’t know we could be this happy or that our hearts could grow this big.

We were all in. No matter what, we were all in.

Adoption was always supposed to be a part of our life journey.

Just have faith, and it will happen..
