dear expectant mother

It probably goes without saying that these will be the most important words we’ve ever written. All of the childhood letters home from camp, college admission essays, resume covers, wedding speeches, and even eulogies for loved ones now seem to be little more than practice runs for this, our letter to you. The objective, of course, is to capture your attention, make you like us, and prove to you that we are people worthy enough for you to entrust with the responsibility of loving and nurturing the child growing inside you. How do we even begin to write that letter?

As hard as this letter was for us to write, we are also aware of how hard it must also be for you to read. Our hearts go out to you for the decision set before you. We cannot begin to express our deep respect for the strength and courage you demonstrate by considering adoption. It is a humbling act of love and generosity. Should you choose us, we will spend the rest of our lives doing our very best to raise a kind and loving human being as well. We will love this child with every ounce of our being and he or she will always know the story of their birth mother.

Whatever the outcome, we wish you the best in your life’s journey.

About Us

We are Thomas and Tracee. We both love to travel and we have journeyed to many places throughout the world, which has brought us a great appreciation for all cultures and their differences. Often, our family homes are our destination. Tom grew up in central Ohio, and Tracee grew up on a small island off the coast of Maine, a place that is special to both of us. When we’re not travelling, we like to spend time with our friends - cooking, listening to music and, in summer, floating in the pool. Tom loves to watch sports, and we often travel to see Ohio State games. Tracee likes to walk with her best friend, play board games, and spend time with the children in her family.

We try to approach every adventure, big and small, with passion and joy. We’re an imperfect, loyal and honest couple who has laughed more than we’ve cried, loved more than we’ve lost, and look forward to the future with excitement for what lies ahead.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a western suburb of Chicago. It is a wonderful tree-lined town with many parks and friendly residents. It also boasts some of the highest rated schools in the country. There is a high school and several elementary and middle schools within walking distance of our home, and on fall and spring afternoons our neighborhood is full of children playing, at sports practice on the nearby athletic fields and walking home from school. We believe it’s a great place to raise a child, and in terms of schooling, it is hands down one of the best places in the entire United States.

Our Extended Family

Our families are big, close-knit clans. They mean everything to us, and we want to assure you that more people than you will ever know already love your baby. We see them often, travelling to visit them in Ohio and Maine, and they visit us in Illinois. Tracee’s family home in Maine is a big, sprawling house on the ocean. Her grandmother’s house is next door, and she has several aunts and uncles down the road, and many cousins scattered around the island. We spend numerous weeks there every summer and are always back for the holidays. We also have a close group of friends locally, who have become much like family over the past 20 years we have lived in this area. We’re confident that our families and friends will provide a solid support system and stable base for our child to grow and thrive. It is guaranteed that our child will be much loved and well cared for.

What Led Us To Adoption

We began our journey towards having a family shortly after being married in 2003. We have attempted numerous IVF procedures without success over the last several years, and now believe that our best course is to adopt. Our unsuccessful efforts have tested our resolve, but have not dampened our desire to be parents. We very much want a little bundle of joy to whom we can pass along our love, knowledge and zest for life.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
