dear expectant mother
We are so humbled and honored you are considering us as a possible family to adopt your child. We would be so blessed to have an opportunity to create a family. We have dreamed of having a family since before we were married, and we look forward to filling our home with lots of love and learning.
We enjoy having spontaneous dance parties in our living room, eating BBQ in the backyard, and visiting local parks. We love tea parties but also going to college hockey games. We have visited several national parks and have explored the arts and theater in our community and abroad. We are part of a supportive and loving church community as well as an extended family that is looking forward to lots of fun family time. We love to travel and believe it’s important for a child to explore the world with trips exploring other cultures and traditions.
We look forward to building a relationship with you and always letting your child know how brave you are and how much you love them and want the best possible life and future for them.
We met through a dating website in 2011. When we started talking, we quickly discovered we wanted to spend our lives together. We lived in different states, so our courtship was spent traveling, meeting in different cities and experiencing new adventures. We both love working with adults with developmental disabilities, and we became host home providers together six years ago. We currently have three adults with developmental disabilities living in our home under our care. This allows us to not only do what we love for a living but to work together from home. Because our clients attend programs during the day, we have lots of time to devote to our relationship and enjoy each other and our hobbies, like church activities, cooking together, walks, and bike rides on the amazing trails by our home.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a family-friendly neighborhood on a cul-de-sac. We own a lovely ranch home with six bedrooms and a beautiful fenced-in backyard, where we love to plant a vegetable garden each year. We look forward to playing at the park, bike rides, and backyard campouts with s’mores. We look forward to bringing your child up in a loving Christian home with lots of church and cultural activities. We have two parks and hiking trails within walking distance, and our elementary school is only a half mile from our home. We have a cat, Ares, whom we rescued during Hurricane Katrina, and a dog, Lila.
Our Extended Family
Thomas’s parents have been married for 46 years. Thomas has two brothers, and Kelly has two sisters and three brothers. We are very close with Kelly’s 90-year-old grandmother, and we have one niece and four nephews, with one more nephew due June 2020.
We host Kelly’s whole family every other Thanksgiving to have a week full of Thanksgiving and Christmas traditions. We love our German pickle tradition. Thomas hides a pickle ornament on our tree, and whoever finds it gets to open the first present. Thomas also dresses up in his great-grandpa’s Santa suit and walks the neighborhood, ringing a bell. Kelly and her friends do a Christmas dinner with a cookie exchange, and we love to attend our church’s holiday festivities each season.
Our extended family also includes our clients and their families. We have great relationships with their guardians, siblings, nieces, and nephews. We live in a multicultural home and enjoy bringing Mexican and Asian influences into our lives to help our clients stay connected with their heritage.
What Led Us To Adoption
We tried for several years to get pregnant without any luck. We then found out we had medical difficulties preventing us from achieving a pregnancy. We have both always wanted to expand our family. We talked to a family friend who had adopted, and we were excited to explore this option more. We are excited to invest into a child and help them experience the world in which they live. We can’t wait to devote all our time and love to a child!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
