dear expectant mother

Thank you for your bravery in considering adoption. We cannot imagine the waves of emotion you must be experiencing at this time. The decision to choose our family to raise your child as our own is one that you can be certain is the right decision. We want you to know that we will provide your child a life full of endless love, support, and a passion for discovering all this world has to offer.

Our family story is unique because Taylor was adopted at birth. Her birthmother was very young and realized Taylor deserved more than she could provide. Taylor knew from a young age that she was adopted, but has never been afforded the opportunity to know her birthmother due to her adoption being closed. If you’re open to it we want your child to know about you and have you in their life because you are part of their life story. As your child becomes part of our family, so too, do you. Because of Taylor’s adoption experience, we feel we are able to provide support to your child as they grow and learn about how they became part of our family. We are excited to share our love of family, traditions (old and new), travel and exploration, and sports with your child. We are beyond grateful that you are considering our family. You are an extremely brave and courageous individual. Your strength is beyond anything that we could ever imagine.

About Us

We met in 2006 while we both were teaching at the same high school, by 2009 we were married and set off to create a life of excitement and joy together. John still teaches history and coaches at the same high school that we met at, but after 10 years of teaching Taylor moved into a different profession. Taylor is a Firefighter/Paramedic in our hometown and loves the job more and more each day.

We both grew up in a suburb of Chicago, went to the same high school and even the same college, but never knew each other until later. Both of us are huge sports fans, although we differ on the Cubs or the Sox, we enjoy going to Blackhawks games or other sporting events. We also enjoy traveling having visited places like Puerto Vallarta, Dallas, Orlando, Hawaii and various other cities in the United States.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a four-bedroom, two and a half bath, two-story home with a large, shaded backyard in a quiet, kid-friendly neighborhood. Our house has tons of room for a child to run around and play. We have a large upstairs bonus room that is used as our family room and a four-season room off the kitchen that doubles as our downstairs family room. There are numerous parks within walking distance to play at as well. The local schools are wonderful as both of us are products of these schools and all of Taylor’s family is as well. We both have spent time working in the school district we live in. We have three dogs: Berlin, Gabriella, and Kodiak. They are super cuddly dogs and love to be anywhere we are. They can’t wait to go for evening walks and will stand next to their leashes the minute dinner is cleaned up! We look forward to these walks because it allows us to share our day with one another and just wind down.

Our Extended Family

John grew up an only child, but Taylor has a brother who is 6 months younger than she. Taylor’s parents found out they were having a child shortly after her adoption was finalized. Both sets of our parents live within 10 minutes of us and are beyond excited about the first grandbaby coming into the family. Besides our immediate family, we have many close friends who have young children and are like family. Taylor’s job is one in which she has numerous firefighter colleagues who are also starting their families. Because of the nature of Taylor’s job, these colleagues are more than that, they are our second family.

Our families gather at holidays for loads of laughing, fun and storytelling. One family tradition is to get together on Christmas Eve on John’s side of the family at his aunt or cousin’s house. All the Aunts, Uncles and cousins of all ages enjoy eating holiday meals, telling stories (mostly embarrassing ones), and participating in the Secret Santa. Both sides of our family are very family-oriented.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have been married for 9 years and after many years enjoying life as just the two of us, we are ready to expand our family. We have always considered adoption because Taylor was adopted at birth by two wonderful, loving parents. While it was a difficult, but selfless decision for her birthmother, Taylor has been able to enjoy a life of endless love and opportunities.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
