dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
We see you over there making the most selfless and difficult decision of your life. We cannot imagine what you are going through, but we are here to remind you that you are strong, brave, selfless, and a wonderful mother. You always will be.
We want you to know that if you decide we are the right fit for you, we promise to always provide a safe, loving, and supportive space for this child to grow, laugh, love, learn, and achieve their wildest dreams. We will always be present and engaged in every sports game, recital, spelling bee, garage band concert, or whatever hobby they love and choose to pursue. And most importantly, we will always love them fiercely and unconditionally.
Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about us. We cannot wait to meet you! Importantly, we are also here to support you in any way you need. We will always be open to as much or as little communication as you would like.
Love,
Tara and Mitch
About Us
We actually met when we were 15! We were each other’s first dates but went our separate ways. (Tara thought Mitch was a little weird at the time.) We reconnected five years later and became best friends with no intention of falling in love, but it happened. It was so easy and natural. We try to always push each other to constantly become the best versions of ourselves as individuals and as a couple. We love our adventures together, whether it’s snowboarding in the wintertime or creating a fort in the living room. Tara is currently serving active duty in the Navy and studying for her master’s in forensic psychology. She enjoys having an active lifestyle, volunteering, and spending time with family. Mitchel is a Marine Corps vet and currently works as a program specialist. He is a jack of all trades and loves volunteering with local veterans, playing video games, and spending time with his family.
Our Home & Pets
We have a three-story, cozy townhome nestled just outside the DC area with a garden and little backyard. There are so many wonderful sights, historical buildings, parks, and museums everywhere you look. Our two adorable puppers are Charlie (golden retriever) and Gambol (shepherd mix), and they absolutely love being around kids! We also have two cats who pretend to be aloof (Frank Sinatra and Louie) but run all over the house playing with each other and even the dogs sometimes. The school area itself is well known for its great education and provides so many opportunities to learn about the U.S. and various other cultures from the melting pot of this nation’s capital.
Our Extended Family
We have a pretty large family. Tara is very close to her mother, father, and younger brother. She also has so many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The majority of her family resides in Arizona, but we are lucky to have her brother, cousin, and niece within 30 minutes of our home! We see them often and spend holidays together. Tara’s parents fly down often, and we try to visit them in Arizona as much as we can.
Mitchel is extremely close to his parents and siblings as well. They all reside in Arizona but visit often. We are extremely lucky that Mitchel’s aunt, uncle, and three cousins live within ten minutes of our home. We also see them often and have large gatherings with our blended family for all holidays!
We are also extremely blessed that the military has provided us with the most amazing chosen family all across the world!
What Led Us To Adoption
Adoption is something we discussed often early on in our relationship. Having a family is something we have always wanted, but the traditional way is something that was not in the cards for us. Tara has a medical condition that makes it dangerous for her to carry a biological child. Regardless, we believe family is family whether they are blood or not, and Tara is a true testament to that, being adopted by her father when she was young. We want to provide the same love to our own child and decided adoption would be the best fit for our family.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
