dear expectant mother
Growing up with our faith surrounding us, we know you’re dealing with an extremely tough choice, and we want you to know we consider the opportunity to raise your child a true blessing.
We would like to give your child the opportunity to grow up on a farm, surrounded by cornfields and cattle and engaged in a strong community with outstanding schools and options for faith. We would be extremely thrilled to share our love for the 4-H and FFA programs and livestock industries, as well as activities such as science club and little league sporting events, or anything else that may pique your child's interest. We are open-minded people. We value hard work, family, and education, and we want to share these values with your child.
We imagine this is an overwhelming experience for you, but we hope we have given you a glimpse into our lives, and the future we could provide your child with. We want to help your child live up to their fullest potential. Your child will be the center of our lives.
We have been married for the last 13 years and have never been more in love! Stephen has been working in the concrete industry for 18 years, and Dawn has been in the education field for the past ten years. We both volunteer with numerous youth organizations annually, such as 4-H and FFA, to better the lives of youth in the area. Both of us are from strong, tight-knit families with both sets of grandparents living within two miles and great-grandparents that aren’t far away, either. Family, faith, and farming are the cornerstones of our lives, and we long to have a child in whom we can instill our values and work ethic for the future.
Our Home & Pets
Our home was built by Stephen’s great-grandpa in 1936. We are the third generation to live on the farm, which is located in rural Iowa on a scenic gravel road with a large yard. The home features four bedrooms, each with all original woodwork. Our home is filled with bright and cheery colors such as yellow, teal, and fuschia (just to name a few) that are sure to make you smile. Right outside, in the lush pastures, our cattle graze. Our community is small but very family-oriented. We can’t wait for your baby to participate in youth sports, livestock showing, and 4-H and FFA programs in the future.
Our Extended Family
Family is a true blessing in our lives. We are fortunate to live very close to both sets of grandparents, and we were both blessed with very large extended families, as well.
Dawn and her only sister grew up with strong family values and ties, and her mother is extremely excited to share family traditions with her future grandchild. Stephen’s family is a larger unit, as he has four siblings who all live nearby. From them, we have five nieces and nephews to share our agricultural passion and 4-H energy with. From farming in conjunction with Stephen’s parents, to working with 4-H livestock projects in the areas of beef and goats, family and the community are the ties that bind us.
Holidays are extremely important to all of us, and our. Favorite family traditions are playing Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus (the getaway driver) on Christmas Eve for families in the area. The love for Christmas was passed down from Dawn’s dad. We can’t wait to bring our own bundle of joy to the first of many holidays and share our beliefs with our child about the value of working hard to achieve what you want.
What Led Us To Adoption
With Dawn being a school teacher, she has seen first-hand the impact adoptive families can have on a child’s life. Adoption is our only hope for a child of our own after a severe case of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome forced us to make the choice to have Dawn undergo a hysterectomy in the Fall of 2016. Adoption is the opportunity for us to get our lives back and to build the family we have always wanted. We are eager to continue this quest to become parents through adoption.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
