Dear Birthmom

There are many hard decisions in life, but there is no way we could possibly understand what you are going through. We want to extend our extreme gratitude in considering us as parents for your child. We have been trying for several years without success, but raising a family is something we have strongly hoped for since becoming a couple. Our extended families also thank you and they are so excited about the prospect of a new addition.

This is not a decision we came to lightly. Many months of discussion and thought have brought us to this point. We are very excited to include your child into our lives and give them the greatest love and attention they could ask for. As your child is growing up, we would love to share as much as you would like. It would be entirely up to you as to how much contact you would like from us.

During the adoption process, we welcome the chance to meet you in person or video chat, if you so choose. Any other information you would like us to share with you, you need only ask. We are open books and want nothing more than for this to be as painless as possible for you. We hope we have left you with a good impression of who we are and what kind of life we would provide.

About Us

Hi, we are Marial and Shawn and have been married for 6 years. Shawn is a production manager and part owner of a machine shop. He enjoys bowling, golfing, softball, playing video games, and hanging with friends. Marial is a case manager for a long-term self-directed care agency. She enjoys movies, reading, and being with friends and family. Together, we enjoy going out to eat, spending time with friends and family, going to sporting events, and partaking in new experiences. We have also taken dance classes!

Our Home & Pets

We live in a quiet subdivision on the outskirts of our city. There is a park with a playground a block from our house. Our subdivision has a great mix of people, some older and some families with children. Shawn’s brother also lives next door! We are also lucky to have both sets of parents living less than 10 minutes away.

We have a very loving and playful 5 year old cat named Martini. She is interactive with those who enter our home and she will be very welcoming to a little one.

Our Extended Family

Shawn’s family consists of four people; his mom, dad, and younger brother. His father started the business he and his brother now work for. He has slowly been weaning off his responsibilities and will eventually relinquish full ownership over to his two sons. His parents love to host parties and go rummaging. We all love being together around the holidays and love to travel, especially to warm destinations during the cold winter months!

Marial’s mother and stepdad are the ones who live close by and they enjoy hiking, gardening, and cooking. She has two stepsisters, who live about 30 minutes away, and had one brother, who passed away a year ago. Her father is in a long-term health care facility almost four hours away and we him visit every other month. Their family loves to get together and have fun; board games are almost always involved and it can get rather competitive! There is always laughter at every holiday.

What Led Us To Adoption

We decided to choose adoption after being unable to conceive for several years. We had many tests done, but received no answers on why we were unable to get pregnant. We want to be able to show a child love and give him or her the best life possible. We are in a place in our lives where we are ready and wanting to expand our family. Adoption feels like the right choice for us.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
