dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

There are many hard decisions in life, but there is no way we could possibly understand what you are going through right now. We simply want to extend our extreme gratitude in considering us as parents for your child because raising a family is something we have both strongly hoped for since becoming a couple.

Our family loves to get together for all holidays. At Easter, our parents hide baskets and eggs around the house, and then we paint eggs together. For Halloween, we carve pumpkins together and sit outside to see all of the trick-or-treaters and hand out candy. Christmas is always a treat, and with all of the food and gifts, it’s impossible to not have a good time.

During the adoption process, we welcome the chance to meet you in person or video chat, if you so choose. For any other information you would like us to share with you, you need only ask. We are open books and want nothing more than for this to be as painless as possible for you. We hope we have left you with a good impression of who we are and what kind of life we would provide. Thank you for your consideration.

With love,
Shawn & Marial

About Us

We are Shawn and Marial, and we met in college when our mutual friends were getting together to see a hypnotist act being performed at school. By the end of that school year, our friends would not stop pestering us until we went out on a date, and we’ve now been happily married for ten years. Shawn is a production manager and part-owner of a CNC machine shop. He enjoys bowling, golfing, softball, playing video games, and hanging with friends. Marial is a case manager for a long-term, self-directed care agency. She enjoys movies, reading, and being with friends and family. Together, we enjoy going out to eat, spending time with friends and family, going to sporting events, and partaking in new experiences. We also took dance lessons and like to pretend we know what we are doing on the dance floor.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a quiet subdivision on the outskirts of our city. There is a park with a playground a couple blocks from our house in both directions. Our subdivision has a great mix of people, some older and some families with children. Our parents live about twenty minutes from us in each direction. We have one cat, Martini. She is very loving and playful. She interacts well with others when they come into our home.

Our Extended Family

Shawn’s family consists of four people: himself, his mom and dad, and his younger brother. His father started the business he and his brother now work for, and he has slowly been weaning off his responsibilities and will eventually relinquish full ownership over to his two sons. His parents love to host parties and go rummaging. We all love being together around the holidays and love to travel, especially to warm destinations during the cold winter months!

Marial’s mother and step-dad live close by, and they enjoy hiking, gardening, and cooking. She has two step-sisters, who both live about 30 minutes away, and she had one brother, who passed away a few years ago. Her father is in a long-term health care facility almost four hours away, and we visit him as often as we can. Her family loves to get together and have fun; board games are almost always involved, and it can get rather competitive! Plus, there is always laughter at every holiday.

What Led Us To Adoption

We want to be able to show a child love and give him or her the best life possible. We are in a place in our lives where we are ready and wanting to expand our family, but having a biological child is not possible for us. Adoption was an obvious solution as we have seen families in our own lives be so greatly affected by it. We have come across many people who have either been adopted themselves or have sons or daughters who were adopted. They are all incredibly grateful for their adoptive parents, and they love their families.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
