dear expectant mother

What fun would spring be without the traditional Easter egg scavenger hunt, Christmas without the silly reindeer games and thousands of outtakes to capture the perfect family photo, and Thanksgiving without the daily note of thanks on the Thankful Tree? While we are fiercely competitive, adding a child to share in these games and traditions with us would mean everything.

We do not know the situation that has led you to adoption, but we will be eternally grateful for your compassion and bravery in considering this decision. The birth of a child is not something we could do on our, own and that is what has made our paths cross. We acknowledge that this decision came from a place of love, compassion, understanding, and hope that we may be the parents you would want us to be.

We will strive daily to give your child the happiest and healthiest life possible. We intend to bring your child up in a loving, respectful, confidence-building, and happy environment. We are seeking an open adoption so your child will grow to know the mother/parents that love him or her so much that they are brave enough to allow someone else to be their parent. Please know that your child will change our lives forever, for the better.

About Us

We believe finding a life partner is not just about finding someone with common interests and goals, but walking with someone who will capture your most embarrassing moments on their phone as well as be there to support you on a bad day. We have continued learning about ourselves and each other, and we have been laughing together and challenging one another for over four years. We are both registered nurses, and we both enjoy the feeling of helping others. When we are not at work, we definitely like to play. Did you say outdoors? Then we’re in! We enjoy activities such as hiking, bicycling, going to music concerts, traveling, and enjoying time with friends and our pup. We both like to be active, yet we can also enjoy an evening in to relax. We hope to share our extreme love for the outdoors and our passion for traveling with a child.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a suburban residential neighborhood on the outskirts of a major city sprawling with activities and opportunities to pursue. We live in a four-bedroom, 2900 square foot home with a fenced-in backyard; the whole thing sits on a quarter of an acre. We live in a very active neighborhood with children of all ages. You can see people walking their dogs, running, bicycling, and playing with their kids during the day and into the night. We also have a loveable dog named Brodie, a chocolate lab full of energy and always on the go.

Our Extended Family

Shannon is from a family of four. She was raised in a small town in the Midwest, where she was taught that hard work, determination, honesty, and integrity would yield fruitful results. Her mother lives in the southern U.S., and her older brother, with whom she shares an inseparable bond, also lives a few hours away.

Leslie is an only child from a military family. Her father grew up in the Mid-Atlantic with three older sisters and two older brothers. Her mom was British and the middle of three girls. Her parents met while he was stationed in England, early in his Air Force career. While both of her parents are now deceased, Leslie is lucky to be part of a large family made of close friends and their families. We are lucky to spend many holidays and yearly gatherings with them.

What Led Us To Adoption

We both agree we have an abundance of love in our hearts that we would love to share. While we are unable to have a biological child, we have had too many dreams of rocking a baby to sleep into the wee hours of the night, staying up late to finish school projects, and seeing the world again through the innocent and naive eyes of a child to accept that our road ends at a biological connection. We believe adoption is a connection made ultimately by one larger than us, one that can bring together two families whom ultimately strive for the same goal. We have children surrounding us in our life and would love to experience the parenting opportunity for ourselves.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
