dear expectant mother

Hi, Mama.

We hope that in reading this letter, you can find some peace in considering an adoption plan. We think you’re an extremely selfless person and we haven’t even met you yet. You have the potential to change the lives of others for the better with one incredibly hard decision. We want to offer our support to you as well, however you’re comfortable, if you choose us. We are excited to love and care for any child we are lucky enough to have join our lives. That will never negate the fact that you’d be the reason we’re able to live a life we’ve dreamed of for so long. We hope you find happiness in your life and know you have us in your corner, forever grateful for your life and the life of your baby.

About Us

While we are opposites in a lot of ways, our values and goals are the same. Shane is extremely hardworking in every area of his life but especially as a carpenter. He’s quiet, loving, and loyal. He's organized and follows through with things he says he's going to do. Shane likes to be outside, fishing or playing yard games with his family. Amanda is friendly and compassionate and loves working with all types of people. She's a family/wedding photographer. She values the relationships she builds with her clients. Amanda has worked with children for most of her life, and clients always ask if we have children of our own because of how much we outwardly love them. Amanda is outgoing and passionate and thrives in bringing humor to most situations. We enjoy listening to music, going to the movies, spending time with our families and dogs and working on house projects.

Our Home & Pets

Our families are all dog people. We bring our dogs with us everywhere possible, they sleep in the bed with us, and, honestly, they have been like our kids and have brought us so much happiness and unconditional love. Amanda’s job brings her to a lot of neat outdoor locations, and we look forward to being able to bring our kids to these locations, not just our dogs! We’re near parks and close to mountains and various bodies of water, the beach, the lake, downtown, and lots of scenic areas. Shane loves swimming and can’t wait for some company in his aunt’s pool.

Our Extended Family

Shane has one brother, who is five years younger, and he and his wife have a son. Amanda has two younger brothers who are both married and a nephew, and two nieces from one brother. Amanda's parents had been happily married for 35 years before her dad passed away in 2019, and Shane's parents have been married coming up on 38 years!

Our extended families get together for every holiday, every birthday, cookouts, pool parties, nights at the fire pit, and board games! Amanda has a large extended family but mostly sees her immediate family; Shane’s extended family is local and really close! Amanda’s godson and her friend, whom she has known for over 30 years, live a couple of minutes down the road! Our friends are all within an hour from us as well.

What Led Us To Adoption

Since starting this process, we have connected with several people willing to share their experiences and better prepare us for the unknown ahead. We experienced two early miscarriages and then suffered another loss in July 2020 at 20 weeks. Just when we didn't think we could come out on the other side, we're working our way there! We have one of the best support systems; our family, friends and even work colleagues have all rallied behind us. They know this is all we've ever wanted and are equally excited that we're finally ready to make it happen.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
