dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
Although we do not yet know you, we admire you for the decisions you have already made and that lie ahead of you. We have been praying for strength for you during this courageous and brave journey. We hope that as you have been searching, you will find the family that will admire, support, love, bless, and bring you and your child peace and comfort. We are honored you might even consider us to be that family.
In our home, we value God, love, respect, kindness, compassion, and hard work. We will provide a happy, nurturing, stable, and safe home. We want your baby to experience all life has to offer. Whether it is Christmas caroling and Halloween trick-or-treating or exploring museums and zoos, adventure to new places awaits this child. We anticipate walking to school with our child, cheering for events, playing in the backyard, laughing until we cry, or cuddling and reading together. We love to go camping and hiking, be creative, sing at the top of our lungs, dance in the kitchen, and learn and grow together.
If you choose us, we want you to be involved as a part of our family. We want to teach each other about our roots, our respect, and our love for each other and for this baby. We can’t wait to talk to you and start this journey together.
Sarah and Derek
About Us
From a dating app to a long distance relationship and a marriage, our relationship has been a whirlwind of adventure from the beautiful plains of North Dakota to the desert of Arizona and everywhere in between! Sarah is a friendly, optimistic, caring, and successful archaeologist. Derek is a funny, hardworking, talented musician by night and accounts payable clerk by day. We are the best of friends and love to spend time together with our dog, Amadeus. We enjoy traveling to new places by plane or car, hiking to see the beautiful earth, watching our favorite sports teams, listening to an eclectic mix of music, playing games like Ticket to Ride, and hanging out with friends and family. Sarah loves to cuddle up with the dog and a hot chocolate and read a good book, while Derek loves to play the drums or piano or cheer for his favorite sports teams.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a beautiful, large home with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a basement with a movie and drum room, a large backyard, and a study/office space full of books on every subject. Our neighborhood is a safe place where your neighbors are your friends, people stop by to say hello and pet your dog, and the local elementary school and park are just down the street. Our dog, Amadeus, is a lovable, stubborn basset hound named after Derek’s favorite composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. He loves to cuddle, play fetch with a rubber chicken, and greet everyone with a big slobbery kiss. He loves his trips in the car to go to the park or get a treat at Petsmart.
Our Extended Family
We love our families! Although they live out of state, weekly FaceTime chats take place with family in order to catch up, laugh, and share stories. Our North Dakota friends have become our extended family, and we gather often to celebrate birthdays and holidays or for BBQs, movie and game nights, or just hanging out.
Born in Colorado, Sarah is a lover of adventure and the outdoors. She grew up hiking, camping, and visiting every museum, zoo, or aquarium. The oldest of five kids, Sarah loves spending time with her two brothers, two sisters, four nephews, two nieces, and parents, and she travels frequently to Colorado or North Carolina to see them all.
Derek hails from the hot desert of Arizona, where family, music, and sports were important during his upbringing. He misses the scenic cactus landscapes and diverse cultures of his home state. The fourth of five children, Derek grew up traveling, playing in bands, and hanging out with friends. Derek has 11 nieces and nephews across four states, and his mother, brother, and sister still live in Arizona, with one sister in Washington. He loves to visit as often as possible.
What Led Us To Adoption
From the beginning of our marriage, we knew adoption was always a possibility for growing our family. After three years of the roller coaster of infertility, we realized our dream of adoption was the path God wanted us to take to bring someone special into our family. We have multiple friends and family who have also adopted children. Their guidance, encouragement, and support mean the child we bring into this family will be well loved and cared for by family and friends. We have always wanted to have children, and we have the love, time, and means to begin the adoption journey with you.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
