dear expectant mother
You are facing an arduous decision, one that doesn’t come easily; however, that is not to say that you will face this challenge on your own. We understand the difficulty this process can bring to you emotionally and even physically, but we are very supportive of you.
We want you to know we are very considerate people who sympathize with the difficulty of your choice. You are making the toughest decision, and we respect your consideration for such a selfless and remarkable decision. We want to assure you that your child, should you choose us, will be welcomed into a very nurturing, safe home, and we will truly love them with all our hearts. You are brave and noble for pursuing this option, and you have our utmost respect and gratitude. You can change our lives forever, and we will never be able to express enough just how incredible this feels for us.
Watch Our Video
We are always looking to make each other laugh and provide a warm and comfortable home life. Robert is a Senior Security Engineer, and Shannon works part-time as an Administrative Assistant at our church. We enjoy taking our dogs to the beach, spending time with family, going for nature trail walks, and being involved in our local community. Our daily routine typically includes something to keep us active and invested, such as volunteering or going to the gym. We share an interest in arts and crafts and feel creativity is important to embrace.
Our Home & Pets
We live near the beach in a beautiful area with plenty of art galleries, museums, arboretums, and natural attractions to visit. Our neighborhood specifically is a close-knit group of people who take great pride in welcoming new neighbors and making our neighborhood feel special. We are home to two short-hair cats, one corgi, and one border collie. The private schools and local high school are ranked in the top for Virginia, and education is highly valued by us as well.
Our Extended Family
Robert has many family members as both parents are remarried, and we are close to many members of both sides of his family. Robert’s relationship with his stepdad is very special to him as he did not grow up close to his birthfather. We are close with Robert’s mother and stepdad as well as Shannon’s mother and father. The parents have bonded as well over the years.
Shannon has a smaller family, but rest assured, we are close to her family as well. Shannon’s relationship with her grandparents is very special to her as is her relationship with her younger brother. We are close to this side of the family and will visit them in Pennsylvania frequently as we want to maintain those close bonds.
Between us, there are four sisters and three brothers as well as many cousins. We celebrate many holidays as a family, whether it’s here in Virginia or at their homes in Pennsylvania. This includes fireworks at the beach for the Fourth of July and the Christmas Eve party at Shannon’s parents’ home, two traditions dear to our families. The closeness of family is very important to us.
What Led Us To Adoption
We came to the decision to adopt when facing difficulty with natural conception and infertility treatments. It was a physically demanding process, so we decided to consider other options and both felt called to adoption. There’s nothing we want more than to be parents. We are very proud to be on this journey together as our extended families have been positively affected by adoptions and in turn have given us great support on our journey.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
