dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
We can’t tell you how much of a blessing it is to have you consider us to raise your baby. We know the decision is not easy, and we are incredibly grateful just to have the opportunity to share a bit about ourselves with you. Should you choose us, we would be incredibly honored to raise your baby in our loving, nurturing home.
We are very fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time with a child once they come into our home. Rich is able to take fourteen weeks of paid leave, and as a teacher, Steve has summers, weekends, and holidays off. Having the time to genuinely bond with and nurture a newborn child is so important, and we are thankful to have jobs that allow us to not have to worry about childcare and work responsibilities.
It brings us so much joy to imagine all of the ways we are going to get to share our lives with a child. Steve can’t wait to sing songs and lullabies, sharing his love for music. Rich is excited to teach them how to cook and bake as they work together to create cookies, pies, and all kinds of delicious food. We cannot wait to start this chapter of our lives we have been dreaming about for so long. Thank you, and we sincerely hope you will consider choosing us to raise your baby.
We are Rich and Steve. We were recently married and are so excited to grow our family through adoption! Steve is an elementary school music teacher, and Rich is an analyst at an information analytics business. Steve also works at our local Presbyterian church as a youth choir director and videographer extraordinaire. While Steve is working, Rich likes to spend his time cooking and creating new recipes in the kitchen. As a couple, we spend as much time as we can outdoors and love to camp in the summer, but when the weather isn’t agreeable, we spend our time inside playing games, watching our favorite TV shows, and completing home renovation projects. We love and cherish spending time with our friends and family as much as we can. We could not be more thrilled to welcome a child into our community.
Our Home & Pets
We purchased our first home together two years ago and absolutely adore it! Our house is in the city but has a somewhat suburban feel. There are three bedrooms and two baths along with a sizable backyard and patio. One of our favorite parts of the house is the fire pit we built ourselves. We love spending time in our backyard admiring the gardens we are growing. Sully and Olivia are our two dogs and may be the only ones who love the backyard more than we do. We can’t wait to take our child to our local park around the corner, a place we frequent with our friends and their children.
Our Extended Family
We are lucky to both have incredible families who are ready to love and support our new family. Our parents live a short drive away, and we both have several siblings whom we get to see throughout the year. Spending time together is important to us, and we cherish the traditions and events that bring our extended families together.
While holidays are important to both of our families, Steve’s family always has a Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve. We gather around the tree and exchange presents, opening them one at a time for all to see! Rich’s family has an annual vacation that usually brings together between 20-30 of his aunts, uncles, and cousins. We usually get a big house at the beach or lake and spend at least a few days having fun and enjoying each other’s company.
Both of our families are incredibly excited about us adopting, and we can’t wait to share and pass on these traditions.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have always wanted children. In fact, it was one of the first conversations we ever had! As a same-sex couple, we are not able to have children on our own. We have seen adoptions with several of our friends and through our local foster care agency. As foster parents, we have been blessed with welcoming some children into our home but have always seen the children move on. Through the process of adoption, we know we can build our forever family.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
