dear expectant mother
We can’t imagine how difficult it must be to consider adoption for your precious child and to read the profiles of families that might possibly raise and love him or her. The amount of courage and strength required to make this decision shows tremendous selflessness and compassion for your child. We thank you for considering us for the honor of raising your child.
If you choose us as adoptive parents for your child, we want you to know that you and your child would be a true blessing and an answer to our prayers. We promise that we would love your child unconditionally and provide a safe and stable environment for him or her to grow in. Our family and friends are thrilled and support our adoption plans. They are very excited and hopeful as we start our adoption journey.
If you choose us, we would welcome you into our family. We would be willing to support whatever level of interaction you wish to have. We would look forward to sharing your story with your child. We would tell your baby how much you love him or her. The mere thought that you are taking the time to read about us shows how courageous you are on this journey. We know you want the best for your child. We pray for peace and clarity as you travel down this road in finding a wonderful family for your child.
We are Mike and Rachel. We were introduced to each other through a mutual friend eight years ago at a Christmas party. After five years growing in our friendship, we decided we were meant to be together forever. We have been married for three years. Rachel is a chiropractor with a specialty in pediatrics and Mike is a senior software engineer. We both have our weekends free to enjoy life together.
We both enjoy the outdoors: riding horses, biking, hiking, kayaking, and running. On the weekends you will find Rachel cooking and baking healthy recipes. She loves to prepare healthy food to have ready for the week. Mike enjoys finishing and racing triathlons. Our favorite tradition that we started after we first met is to check out sushi restaurants in whatever town we are in. Mike is easy-going and enjoys whatever life brings. Rachel is outgoing and loves helping people around her.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a cozy home on a corner lot with a big backyard that includes a large playset and hot tub. Our house has three bedrooms and two baths upstairs and a finished basement with two bedrooms and a family room. We have more than enough room to grow our family. We live in a great neighborhood with an excellent school district. Many young kids play outside in the neighborhood. The neighborhood boys are over frequently to use our basketball hoop in the driveway. We share our house with Stella, a Chihuahua-Beagle mix that loves to play with everyone. We have a water park, soccer fields, several parks, and YMCA within walking distance.
Our Extended Family
Family is very important to us, and we are both very close with our families. Rachel’s parents live one hour away on a farm. She has three sisters, eight nieces, and one nephew. We visit them each weekend. We enjoy riding horses and float trips down the river in the summer - as well as lots of card games. Both of Rachel’s parents have larger families, so she has many aunts, uncles, and cousins that live nearby. We also see her grandparents very regularly, as they live close to the farm and are a very involved with the family. Her family has a lot of traditions and usually has at least one get-together during each holiday.
Mike’s grandparents and parents live close by and we see them regularly. We enjoy hiking, biking, going out to eat, and making lefsa (Scandinavian bread) with Mike’s parents. Mike’s Dad is great at grilling, so in the summer his parents spoil us with amazing meals. Mike’s two sisters, his niece, and his nephew live farther away. We try to get together a few times a year, taking turns on who hosts the get-together. We use Skype to keep up with the family.
What Led Us To Adoption
We both love children. We have always known that we wanted a larger family. After the last three years of trying to get pregnant, we chose not to try more aggressive fertility treatments. We decided to look at adoption as the best way to grow our family. Adoption has already been a blessing in our family - Rachel’s cousin adopted a beautiful baby boy. We can’t wait to see what beautiful gifts adoption has in store for us.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
