dear expectant mother

Although we don’t know you personally, we have been praying for you since we began this journey. In addition to providing a loving home for your child, we have a large and loving extended family looking forward to embracing a new child.

We imagine summer weekends at the lake; hikes in the mountains; trips to the beach; and silly games played together with cousins and neighborhood children. Wesley will teach him or her about taking care of small animals, raising livestock, and how our food is grown. They will have the opportunity to be involved in 4-H and Future Farmers of America, raise and take care of their own animals, and show off their achievements to the community. We will support them in whatever they choose, whether it’s dance, music, the arts, or sports! We have a whole faith community at the church Preston pastors and a strong network of friends that will all be a positive part of this child’s life. Your child will be surrounded by faithful and loving friends and adult role models who will accept them for exactly who God made them to be! This community is diverse, non-judgemental, and works for peace and justice in our world.

Know that your child will have so many opportunities to grow and learn and become who they want to be, raised with respect and good values, and deeply and unconditionally loved by a caring family.

About Us

We’ve been married for four years, but we were together for eight years before that! We met in Tennessee, where we were both pursuing our education and work. We have supported each other now through two master’s degrees and one doctorate, each of us working to support the other while we were in school. In short, we are a team that feels strongly about supporting each other in whatever goals we choose to pursue. We are each other’s best friends, biggest fans, and number one advocates. We now live in Illinois, where Wesley is a successful doctor of veterinary medicine, who mostly works with farmers raising pigs, and Preston is the pastor of a Lutheran church, where he enjoys preaching, leading worship, and teaching Sunday school.

Our Home & Pets

We’ve just bought a home with a big backyard in a neighborhood with sidewalks, a playground, and lots of children. We also have two dogs who are already patient and loving toward kids. Although we live in a small town, where farming and agriculture are still very common, we also live near a state university that attracts a variety of different kinds of people and activities. There are plays and live music, firework displays, a celebration to welcome Santa to town, an annual Pumpkin Festival each fall, and we live close to an apple orchard where we can pick our own apples. Finally, the church in which Preston is the pastor has many events all year round!

Our Extended Family

We have a big extended family that can’t wait to welcome a new addition! Wesley’s sister already has two children that look forward to a new cousin, and Preston’s sister is pregnant and will have a baby in July 2019! In addition, there are dozens of cousins, aunts and uncles with whom we stay in touch.

Wesley’s family lives on a small cattle farm in Tennessee, and Wesley can’t wait to teach our future child all about animals and agriculture! They will have the opportunity to raise their own animals and be involved in 4-H and Future Farmers of America. Wesley’s family also loves to vacation at the family’s lake house. Preston’s family has a strong tradition of college football and sports, and the family also tries to go to the beach together every year.

Each year, we participate in the annual “Turkey Games,” where we challenge another family in the neighborhood to three legged races and other silly games on Thanksgiving day. Above all, both sides of the family have a tradition of being extremely loyal and loving toward one another.

What Led Us To Adoption

Before becoming a minister, Preston worked with children of all ages in foster care and saw all the wonderful ways God uses adoption to form beautiful and loving families. We have long believed that adoption is a part of God’s plan for our family and trust that the right connection will be made in good time. Both of our extended families are made up of people who were adopted into the family in one way or another, some through formal adoption and others through deep and meaningful relationships later in life. Any child who enters our family will be fully embraced by a whole community of aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, and friends.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
