dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
It is with gratitude and respect that I write this. I can’t imagine how difficult this decision could be for you and your family. The decision you’re making is not only courageous but it’s out of true love for your child and you wanting the best for him or her. This is something that I would want for any child.
If you bless me with this gift, allowing me to become the mom I’ve always wanted to be, I will not only give your child lots of love but provide him or her with protection and a life of opportunity.
About Me
Let me begin by saying thank you for taking the time to consider me as an adoptive parent for your child. I applaud you for your strength and courage. I’m originally from Michigan but currently reside in Maryland. I’m a registered nurse with a master’s degree in health promotion. I joined the Air Force directly out of high school. I wanted to have a guaranteed college degree and the opportunity to travel the world. I retired in June 2016 after almost 26 years of service. In 2017 I had a home built and settled in Maryland. There are so many ways to describe my personality, but the most frequent ones I hear from my friends and family are that I’m adventurous, kind, patient, compassionate, friendly, and generous. I love cycling, going to the movies, reading, working out, going to concerts, spending time with my pooch, and traveling.
My Home & Pets
My pooch (Sebastian) and I live in a beautiful community. The property has an equestrian center, a community pool, tennis courts, several playgrounds, walking/horse trails, and a large community park. I live in a three-level townhome built in 2017 with four bathrooms, three bedrooms, and a gated backyard. The community is quiet, and the neighbors are friendly and pleasant. I can be in the downtown D.C. area within 30 minutes or in Alexandria, Virginia, in 20 minutes. Sebastian is my 10-year-old Schnoodle. He’s great with kids.
My Extended Family
Although I live in Maryland, I’m one hour away via plane from my family in Michigan. I have a younger sister, three step-brothers, and lots of cousins. I’m the second oldest out of the five of us. Unfortunately, I lost my oldest brother to complications with diabetes a year ago. My other two brothers live in Georgia with their families.
In addition to my biological family, I have two bonus sisters, one bonus niece, and a bonus nephew. I’ve known my good friends since my time in the service. We’ve known each other for 20 years. I’m a part of their family, like they are mine.
In our family, we look forward to our family reunions. My mother is probably the most excited when it comes to reunions; she loves to connect with our family down south. My mother is my biggest supporter when it comes to adopting. This would be her first grandchild.
What Led Me To Adoption
Adoption came to my heart one day out of the blue. A few years back, I went through artificial insemination and IVF. I had one successful treatment, but I had an early miscarriage. My dream of becoming a mom never ended, but I needed time to heal and to ask myself whether I wanted to go through that process again. My vision was to have one biological child and then grow my family through adoption. I realize now, that God’s path for me to become a mom is through the miracle of adoption. When I talk about adopting, I have both friends and strangers tell me how excited they are for me and that it’s a beautiful thing.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
