dear expectant mother
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! This must be a difficult and confusing time while deciding on the best option for you and your baby. We admire you for considering adoption. You are stronger and more courageous than you realize.
If you choose to make an adoption plan and bless us with this amazing gift, we will provide a safe, happy, and loving home for your child. Our son is already making plans for his future partner in crime. We will explore Grandma’s pond and catch frogs, have family movie and game nights, take trips to Auntie’s cabin, bake cookies and decorate a tree for Christmas, and play outside with the neighborhood kids. These are just a few activities we look forward to sharing with your child.
We are really excited about the possibility of expanding our family through adoption. We are so grateful for your time and consideration. Thank you for giving hope to families like ours.
About Us
We met while both working at a sporting goods store in 2004. Our relationship started as a friendship, and we began dating a year later. We were married in September 2007. Chris is an obstetrical technician at a large hospital. Nicki is a retail sales merchandiser who represents multiple brands of a health food company. We enjoy having family movie or game nights. Nicki is an expert cookie baker and enjoys taking on small interior design projects. Chris enjoys spending time outdoors, where fishing and playing golf are some of his favorite activities. We also like to attend concerts, travel, dine out, and spend quality time playing, exploring, and learning with our son.
Our Home & Pets
Our home is located on a cul-de-sac with six other houses, where the streets are lined with mature trees. The neighborhood children congregate on our street to play various sports, ride bikes or scooters, jump on trampolines, play tag or hide and seek, go sledding, or make up new games. We live in a great school district and are walking distance to the elementary school. We are close to many parks and recreational areas. We have two dogs, Midnight and Roxy. They are both Labrador retriever mixes. Midnight is lovingly referred to as our firstborn. Roxy is the newest addition to the family. We adopted her from a rescue in October 2020.
Our Extended Family
Chris grew up in Mid-Michigan. He has an older sister and a small extended family that is spread across the country. As a child, the family would visit his grandparents’ cabin in Northern Michigan. This started his love of the outdoors.
Nicki grew up in the thumb area of Michigan. She is the youngest of five children. Nicki’s extended family is very large, with several aunts, uncles, and cousins, most living within an hour away. Her sister has a cabin in Northern Michigan. We enjoy spending time with the family at the cabin, where we go swimming or fishing, have bonfires and BBQs, lounge outside, or watch movies when the weather doesn’t cooperate. During the holidays, Nicki’s family will usually get together at her mom’s house.
Both of our families are very excited about us adopting! They are very supportive of our decision and look forward to seeing our family grow.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have wanted to grow our family, but it has not happened naturally. Our son has dreamed of having a sibling for a while now. We both have siblings and really want our son to have the experience of growing up with a brother or sister. We explored IVF as an option, but it didn’t feel like the right path for us. Adoption felt like the best fit and what we were meant to pursue. We think all things happen for a reason. This is supposed to be part of our family’s journey.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
