You are doing such a wonderful thing, considering adoption, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We want to be here for you however you need and hopefully help make this process as easy on you as possible. We would always welcome you into your child’s life and ours, if that is what you wish, and make sure they know how much you love them.
We look forward to the opportunity to share our lives with your child. Nathan, who is bilingual, can’t wait to teach them Spanish and how to play piano. Kristen’s job would enable us to travel the world and show them new places and different cultures. We would encourage them in whatever interests them and raise them to have a curious and open mind; supporting whatever career path they choose. To us, family is the most important thing in the world. If given the chance, we would surround your child with love every day and help them open any door they came upon.
Thank you again for considering us. We are truly so grateful.
We are high school sweethearts and have been together for 18 years and married for nine. Kristen is an accountant for the largest accounting firm in the world, which enables us to do a lot of traveling. Nathan spent the last ten years running bars and restaurants. He has been featured in magazines and TV, and he even appeared in a documentary! However, he recently left that field to allow himself more time to focus on family. Now he is getting into the accounting business and plans to start a family farm.
One of Kristen’s passions is rescuing and rehabilitating animals. She also sits on the Board of Directors for the Posse Foundation, an organization that helps underprivileged students get full scholarships to college. In his spare time, Nathan loves playing the piano - he is classically trained! Together, we love playing board games, dancing, watching movies, camping, taking the dogs to the park, running, wake surfing, and hanging out with our friends and family.
Our Home & Pets
We currently live in a very colorful one-story home with a fenced-in backyard, just one block from a river. It’s a double unit, converted into a single-family home, located in a wonderful historic neighborhood. The area is full of parks, playgrounds, and cafes. We have two indoor dogs, both cuddly and great with kids. Our godchildren and friends’ children come over often to play with the dogs.
Our Extended Family
We are both very close to our families. We grew up 15 minutes apart from each other in small towns in North Carolina. Nathan’s parents are divorced and his dad remarried when Nathan was 14 years old. He has a large extended family, with 20 cousins, two brothers, and a step-sister. Kristen’s parents are still happily married. Her extended family is much smaller, with six cousins and one sister, who Kristen speaks with daily. We always have Thanksgiving at our house with Kristen’s family, and at Christmas we travel back to the Carolinas to spend time with both of our families. We hope to someday move back to our home state and enjoy spending all of the holidays with family like we did when we were kids.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have always wanted children, but unfortunately we haven’t had much luck. About six years ago, Kristen got pregnant and we planned to announce it to the family on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, we had a miscarriage on Christmas Eve. Then, the following year, Kristen was diagnosed with breast cancer. Kristen has been cancer-free for more than five years now, but pregnancy is no longer an option. Adoption has always seemed like a wonderful path for us, and we are so excited to see what this journey holds for us. Our dream is to have a child we can raise and watch grow into a happy, amazing person, and we look forward to realizing that dream through the gift of adoption.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
