dear expectant mother
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to you for considering us as an adoptive family for your child. We have profound respect for your courage and strength in choosing the best option for your child, however difficult the decision may be. We believe that the bond between a mother and her child is a sacred one, and we will strive to instill in your child an indelible memory of your love and gratitude for the life you provided.
As parents, we will do everything in our power to provide a nurturing and loving home for your child. We want to give your child a safe and loving environment where they will have the freedom to discover and pursue their talents to the fullest extent possible. Your child will be the focus and primary concern of our family and will always receive the best we can provide. Suzie is looking forward to reading to your child every night, teaching your child about growing vegetables in the garden, and helping your child learn to read, write, and do math. Nate is looking forward to teaching your child how to play with paints and clay, drawing and sculpture, and expressing feelings through art. We both look forward to discovering your child’s inner talents and bringing them to full fruition.
Your child has a bright and wonderful future, and it would be an honor and privilege for us to be the ones to guide your child on that journey.
We are Nate and Suzie. We met 12 years ago in Suzie’s hometown in Japan while Nate was traveling there to visit family. We fell in love and immediately decided to get married. Suzie moved to the United States, where Nate had an established career in engineering design. She went to school to become a nurse and has now been working in a hospital as a registered nurse for the last two years. Recently Nate has started his own ceramic design studio, where he makes pottery and sculptures. In our free time, we love to cook together and go on long walks along the lake with our dog, Minty. Nate loves running and training for marathons, and Suzie enjoys growing fresh vegetables in the neighborhood community garden. We also like to go on road trips together, which we do every summer.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a high-rise building overlooking Lake Michigan in a university neighborhood known for many Nobel laureates. The neighborhood is an integrated mix of international students and professors from around the world, and the typical resident has a high regard for intellectual pursuits and education. Although conveniently located near a metropolitan center, the neighborhood itself is lush with nature. Our building is surrounded by parks and museums on all sides. One of these parks is a dog park where we take our dog, Minty, daily to run free and play with other dogs. Minty is also highly educated and has been fully trained at the best local dog school.
Our Extended Family
Nate comes from a large family, and has five siblings who live all across America. One sister still lives in Japan, where Nate’s parents spent many years as missionaries. Many of the Lutheran churches in northern Japan were started by Nate’s father. As an American growing up in Japan, Nate has a tremendous respect for Japanese culture and tradition.
Suzie is the only child of a family native to Japan with roots that go back many generations. Suzie is also steeped in Japanese culture and learned the arts of tea ceremony and flower arrangement from an early age. After moving to the United States, she has embraced American culture whole-heartedly. As an international couple, we think of ourselves as a bridge spanning Eastern and Western cultural traditions, and we cherish both traditions in our daily life.
What Led Us To Adoption
Since the first day of our marriage, we have wanted to grow our family. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to have biological children due to infertility. This hasn’t stopped our dreams of being parents, and after much thought and prayer, we gradually began to consider the idea of adoption. We now believe that our infertility just might be God’s way of preparing our family for adopting a child meant for us. Learning about other families that have successfully adopted has given us new hope and inspiration.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
