dear expectant mother

Thank you for considering us to love and cherish your child. We understand this isn’t an easy decision, and we can’t imagine what you are going through, but we appreciate your strength, courage, and trust. We promise we will do all that we can to provide a loving and caring home by providing all the love, encouragement, and nurturing your child needs to grow up in a loving and happy home.

As a father, Miguel looks forward to seeing Teri be a fantastic mother. He looks forward to seeing her in the kitchen during the holidays baking his favorite cookies and letting your child enjoy a spoon full of cookie dough.

As a mother, Teri can’t wait to watch Miguel teaching and playing with your child. He is such a kid at heart, and he enjoys getting on the ground and playing with all of the toys. She also looks forward to watching him showing your child how to use tools to build and fix things.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We are so excited and would be so honored if you chose us to be part of this journey with you.

About Us

Miguel has been a bricklayer for 24 years. It’s hard work, but he enjoys looking at his finished building or product. We’re proud that the company he works for built a store in our town. Teri is a licensed insurance agent and works for a local insurance agency. She loves providing excellent service to her customers. We met online in 2012, and we both felt so comfortable with each other, it was easy to fall in love. We had the same beliefs, goals, and wants in life, and after two years, our love grew and we got married. Neither of us likes to be the center of attention, so we decided we wanted a small wedding ceremony. We planned a destination wedding in Puerto Rico and were pleasantly surprised and happy to have all of our immediate family able to join us.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a small town in Michigan in a three-bedroom home with our six-year-old foster son and three dogs. We are fortunate to live in a subdivision with many children on our street. We live in the last house on a dead end street, so it’s very common to see children playing all over. We have a large yard, and many of the neighborhood kids come down to our house to play kickball or baseball with our foster son. We enjoy playing these games with the kids, and it’s common to see the neighborhood adults join in when they see us out there.

Our Extended Family

Miguel has two siblings: an older brother and older half sister. They both have children of their own, providing us with a bunch of nephews and nieces. We enjoy spending Christmas Eve with Miguel’s family, where we celebrate with dinner and gifts for most of the night. Miguel’s mom is the oldest daughter of 10 siblings, and all of her brothers and sisters make the stop at her house during all holidays (mostly for her cooking).

Teri has a brother and sister and a half brother and sister. Her sister and mom live in the same town in Michigan, and her other siblings live in different states. Her brother and sister come home typically in July for a Michigan summer barbecue that we invite all of our family and friends to. Also while they’re in town, we enjoy the Great Lakes and the outdoors.

Both of our families are excited that we have decided to adopt and are looking forward to meeting our newest family member.

What Led Us To Adoption

We had been pregnant two times. The first time we had our son prematurely; he came too early at 20 weeks and was too tiny for the journey. Unfortunately, the second pregnancy was unsuccessful as well. After the two losses, we signed up for foster care and have the pleasure of raising our six-year-old foster son. He has taught us as much as we have taught him. We explained to him about how excited we were to adopt, and he is equally excited for a little brother or sister. We had seen many of our friends’ success stories with adoption and decided to work toward that path. We are excited, nervous, and curious about this chapter in our family book.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
