We are so excited that you have given your child a chance to grow up in this exciting world. We know that this is a tremendously difficult decision that you have made and applaud you for your courage.
Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents for your precious child. We can’t wait to have a baby of our own and are constantly imagining all of the amazing experiences and opportunities we hope to offer a child. After Michelle’s miscarriage last year, we were left heartbroken. But the experience has made us realize how important having a child in our lives is to us, whether we birth the child or not.
With George having been adopted, we really understand how important finding the right parents is. We know how important the right family is for giving a child the right opportunities for his or her success. George is grateful every day that his birthmother chose to have him and to take the time to find the perfect family to love him and provide for him.
We hope our profile gives you insight into what life would be like with us for your child, and that you’ll consider giving us the opportunity to love and care for him or her.
We met at a small, liberal arts college in Vermont. We have been together for over 11 years! We were married in May 2012 at a New York ski mountain where Michelle spent every weekend of her childhood and where George and Michelle created many memories together.
George is an avid hockey player and golfer. He plays in a hockey league five minutes from our home. George recently graduated with an MBA from Chicago Booth and is excited to implement what he learned into his family’s business.
Michelle loves to wake up early to start her day off with a yoga class! She is highly involved in her community as a board member of two local non-profit organizations dedicated to helping youth in underprivileged communities to read and to participate in sports.
Together, we love to travel to other countries in Europe and Asia, or just on local trips to northern Michigan and Wisconsin to enjoy the outdoors.
Our Home & Pets
We bought our home in 2015. Our neighborhood is extremely friendly, with dogs and strollers roaming the streets and filling local restaurants. We have lots of green space in our neighborhood, as well as in our yard, along with a beautiful, private outdoor deck. We enjoy walks, playtime, and nights by our fire pit with our three-and-a-half-year-old Australian Labradoodle, Riley, who we treat like our first child.
In April 2017, we purchased a second home two hours from our house and on a beautiful lake. We have a large yard on a dead-end road with over seven miles of trails just outside our back door. Our parents were extremely excited by this home purchase and have been visiting from Milwaukee and New York nearly every weekend of the summer.
Our Extended Family
We are both very close with our families. Michelle is an only child, but growing up she and her cousins were inseparable. Michelle’s family lives in New York, but her parents visit often, and we enjoy vacationing with them and having them spend weeks at a time at our home. George’s parents live close by and he works for his dad. His brother lives out in Utah, and we make it out there to ski and visit at least once a year.
We both love hosting friends and family in our home. We host weekly dinners with other local couples and have hosted our family and friends for many Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations. We enjoy spending the holidays with our immediate and extended families every year. We feel blessed that both of our families get along so well with one another that we have been able to have them all join us to celebrate important holidays, to go on vacations to Florida and Wyoming, and to spend quality time at our lake house together throughout the summer.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have been hoping to welcome a child into our family for two years. Michelle grew up working as a mother’s helper, including for one family with six children under age six! Recently, more of our friends have been having children, and we have quickly become every baby’s and toddler’s favorite pair.
We have had medical challenges with having a baby and we have dealt with an emotional miscarriage in February 2017. Due to Michelle’s medical condition, getting pregnant and carrying a baby to term would be challenging. We have taken this as a sign that we are meant to be parents in a different way! George and his brother were both adopted as babies, so we have seen firsthand the power of adoption to create amazing, loving families. We are excited to grow our own family in the same way.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
