dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us and for considering us as adoptive parents. Your courage as you move through this journey is inspiring, and we can’t imagine how difficult this decision must be for you. We are prepared and excited to continue building a family together and to share in all the joys of raising children, like attending school activities, going on vacation together, and seeing our children graduate from college and begin careers and families of their own.
We have a very strong support network of family and friends who are eager to help us welcome a child into our family. Our extended family members are very supportive of our decision to adopt and are ready to be grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins again!

With Love,
Tracy and Michael

About Us

We have been together for eleven years, married for seven years, and adopted our daughter four years ago. We enjoy spending time with family and friends, volunteering in the community, traveling, gardening, and cooking. Michael studied economics for his undergraduate degree and education for his master’s degree, and Tracy has undergraduate and graduate degrees in music performance and education. We both work at a major research university, where Michael is an academic advisor and Tracy serves as Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for the largest college on campus. In addition to our careers, Michael is deeply involved in community advocacy and volunteers with two large non-profit agencies, while Tracy is a professionally trained musician who regularly performs with the local orchestra and for community events. Our daughter is a very loving and active child with a passion for playing outside, sports, music, and art.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a beautiful home with five bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a finished basement, located in a safe and quiet historic neighborhood with a mix of young families with children as well as older residents. Our fenced-in backyard includes a large fort with swings and a slide built by Michael as well as a grassy area to run around and play! One of our favorite things to do is take walks in our neighborhood, which includes several parks we can visit to enjoy the playground, tennis courts, and large open spaces for playing. Our culturally diverse city offers many family-friendly activities as well as a vibrant arts scene. We have a dog and a cat, and both of them are great with kids.

Our Extended Family

We are very close with our immediate family members and spend as much time with them as we can. Tracy has a twin brother and an older sister, and Michael has a younger brother. We also have a nine-year-old nephew whom our daughter Lyla loves to spend time with! Most of our immediate family lives within close driving distance, and we enjoy many activities together, such as our annual ski trip, birthday parties, family vacations, and attending concerts and cultural festivals.

Our family members are just as excited as we are about welcoming a new child into the family and frequently ask when they will have a new baby to shower with gifts! Both of us also have extended family, including aunts, uncles, and cousins, whom we see occasionally throughout the year at family gatherings and during the holidays.

Our Adoption Story

Family is the top priority for both of us, and from the day we met, we have dreamed of raising at least two children in a loving and supportive home. In 2017 we adopted our daughter, Lyla, after building a strong relationship with her birth family. We spent many evenings on the phone getting to know Lyla’s birthmother and also spent time visiting her and her family in person to build a stronger connection. Lyla is the greatest source of joy in our lives and has been asking when she will have a baby brother or sister! We look forward to the opportunity to provide a nurturing environment to a new member of our family and to sharing our values of love, respect, and community with our children.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
