dear expectant mother

Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We feel honored and blessed to be considered as adoptive parents for your precious baby. We can’t even begin to know what you are going through, and your courage is humbling. If you choose us, we promise to provide a safe and loving environment for your baby, and we will give your child guidance as he or she grows. We want to teach your child how to always be him- or herself, to laugh and be silly, and to be open and honest. We promise your baby will always know where he or she came from. We would love to give part of your name to your baby as Marymai’s parents did with her.

Both our families have many wonderful traditions, and we’d like to carry them on and also create new ones of our own. We love to cook and listen to music, to go hiking with our dogs, and to travel. Our neighborhood has a lot of children of all ages, so your baby will grow up with lots of friends to play with. We hope you’ll allow us the honor and privilege of caring for your baby and having an ongoing relationship with you.

About Us

We are Michael and Marymai. We first met 21 years ago, and we fell instantly in love. We have been married for the last 17 years. Marymai was adopted from Vietnam when she was 18 months old through Operation Baby Lift. Her name combines her Irish-American upbringing with her roots. Michael was born in Detroit, but since his father worked for the government, he moved all over the world as he was growing up. He attended school in Syria, Nepal, and India. Marymai has worked for a homebuilding company for the last 14 years as a senior treasury analyst. Michael is a civil engineer and project manager in the architecture and engineering industry and has worked for the same company for the last seven years.

Our Home & Pets

In 2016 we moved into a newly built neighborhood, where we live in a four-level, four-bedroom townhouse. It’s an end unit with many windows that allow a lot of sunshine in. We built a large garden where we grow lots of flowers, herbs, and vegetables. Our community includes two playgrounds, an amphitheater, a dog park, and a clubhouse with a pool, where the neighborhood children spend a lot of time during the summer. We adopted two dogs, Bronx and Jake, and just recently adopted a cat named Billy Dilly. All three were rescues. They are all so sweet and playful, and they look after each other and us.

Our Extended Family

Family is a very big part of our lives, including our four very fun and silly nephews. Much of our immediate families live close by, and we see each other often for dinners and family outings. Michael’s dad lives in Thailand and visits every year. Michael’s extended family are located mostly in Michigan, while Marymai’s extended family are mostly in New York and Pennsylvania. We love to travel to visit them all.

Marymai’s fondest memories are of road trips to Pittsburgh to celebrate the holidays and to go to football games, while Michael remembers traveling to his grandparents’ and helping to make homemade ravioli and sauce. We look forward to continuing these traditions and creating new ones.

We were so excited to share our adoption plans with our families. Both our moms cried. They know how much we want to have a family of our own. They are thrilled at the idea of being able to spoil another grandchild. We can’t wait to bring home a baby to expand our family.

What Led Us To Adoption

Like many other couples, we have had our difficulties trying to conceive a baby, but this journey has only brought us closer together and made our desire for a child stronger. We would love to expand our family with a baby through adoption. Marymai’s parents showed us the joy of adopting and raising a baby in a very loving environment. Marymai has never felt different from her two older brothers, and we know we can show the same love and devotion. We can’t wait to show your baby the world and teach him or her that no obstacle is too big to overcome.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
