dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for considering adoption and taking the time to peek into our lives to start to get to know us. Even though we don’t know you yet, we understand this is likely one of the most difficult decisions you will ever have to make. We are so thankful you are considering adoption, and we want to assure you we are not only hoping to adopt a child but to expand our family to you as well, if you so wish.
Given the chance to get to know us better, we think you will find we are an extremely loving, caring, and understanding couple. We hope you will give us the opportunity to share with your child a beautiful life where they will be loved and celebrated. As they grow, we will provide them with opportunities to pursue their talents and interests, some of which you will undoubtedly share. We hope you choose to remain open with us and your child so you can share those things with them.
Again, it is impossible for us to express our gratitude and admiration for considering adoption for your child.
We are Mike and Lindsey. We met in 2010 and were married four years later. Lindsey is a licensed clinical social worker at a hospice company, and she also works part-time providing play-based therapy to children. Mike is a construction manager who manages the installation of elevators and escalators. When we are not working, we love playing golf, kayaking, and fishing together. Lindsey enjoys practicing yoga, while Mike bakes bread or works on our home. Lindsey is very caring and thoughtful. She is always putting others ahead of herself while she helps everyone around her. Mike is calm and supportive; he supports his family through both the good and the bad life throws at them. We are very social people and love spending time with both, our friends and family as much as possible.
Our Home & Pets
We have a lovely two-story, three-bedroom home on a quiet street in the suburbs. Our home has a large, fenced-in backyard where our two dogs enjoy running and playing. The neighborhood has beautiful walking paths through wooded areas and the three ponds near our home. Within walking distance are two playgrounds, a basketball court, and two baseball fields. We live only minutes from a river and forest preserve where we enjoy fishing and the scenic walking paths where we have spotted deer, rabbits, and other wildlife.
Our Extended Family
Mike has a large but close family. We spend almost every Sunday at his mother’s for lunch with his aunt, sister, two brothers, and their spouses as well as our nephew and three nieces. We are very close to his brothers and spend a lot of time together taking vacations, going to sporting events, or just hanging out and enjoying a movie or conversation.
Lindsey’s father and sister both live very close to our home. We enjoy getting dinner with them as well as getting together for her family's traditional outings: holiday dinner in the city, watching plays in the fall, and attending local festivals. Lindsey has a close and special relationship with her aunt and cousin. They make time to go shopping or out to dinner on a regular basis.
What Led Us To Adoption
We tried for multiple years to conceive, but it never happened for us. We thought we came to peace with the idea that we wouldn’t have any children, but after some careful contemplation, we realized how much love we have to give and don’t want to give up our dream of becoming parents. We both have family members who were adopted into our family. Mike’s grandfather was adopted, and two of his cousins were adopted from the Dominican Republic. Lindsey has two cousins who were adopted from Russia. We want to be able to give a child a wonderful home to grow up in and pass down to them the traditions and values our families instilled in us as well as celebrate their individual culture, whatever that may be.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
