dear expectant mother
Both of us would like to thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We truly feel blessed you are considering us. The decision you are facing takes an incredible amount of courage and love, and we acknowledge that. We want you to know our prayers and support are with you through this process no matter the outcome. Ultimately we want what is best for all of us, and we are excited for this next stage in our lives to begin!
We are ready to welcome another child into our lives. The joy our son has brought to our home is beyond anything we could have imagined. We can only hope and pray you can help us complete our family.
We can’t wait to relive the memories we have with our son and to learn what makes them smile and laugh and what calms them when they cry. To watch them grow up and see what interests they follow will be a wonderful journey in itself. We are anxious for the opportunity to guide another life through this world and to help him or her enjoy it to the fullest.
About Us
We actually met online through True.com in 2005 by sheer luck! The big joke is that Rich had to pay $50 to talk to Melanie because his trial had just run out. We tied the knot in 2008 and have been happily married since. Rich is a medical technologist, and Melanie is a sixth grade teacher. We both wanted a family, and after a long journey, we ended up on the path of adoption. In 2015 we adopted our son, Adam. During our spare time, we enjoy hiking, fishing, watching movies with popcorn, playing games, building with LEGOs, racing Hot Wheels, or doing anything to spark laughs!
Our Home & Pets
We moved into our house in 2010. It is a cozy two-story, four-bedroom home with an unfinished basement. We have a fenced-in backyard with a nice view that includes a stocked pond Rich and Adam enjoy. The local schools and park are within walking distance of our home, and our neighbors are very friendly. There are a lot of families nearby with kids of all ages to play with, and since we are located in a circle drive, there is not a lot of traffic to worry about. We have one pup named Maverick, who is ten. He is a sweet shepherd mix. We also have a fish tank with mollies. Our local park district and YMCA have numerous opportunities for activities of all ages as well as community events. Adam has tried multiple activities, but his favorite so far is baseball!
Our Extended Family
Melanie is the oldest of three children, and Rich is the youngest of three. There are 16 aunts and uncles on Melanie’s side and 10 on Rich’s side. We see our entire extended families mainly on the holidays, but most of our immediate family we see on a pretty regular basis. Our parents live fairly close by, and we try to visit as often as we can. When we do all get together, it leads to a lot of laughter, games, and good times. Get-togethers often involve a birthday, a trip to the zoo, or just hanging out and catching up. Both sides of the family are aware and supportive of our adoption journey and are excited to welcome a new member with open arms!
Our Adoption Story
We knew after getting married we wanted a family of four. Due to medical concerns, we chose to pursue adoption to grow our family. In 2013 we started our adoption journey, and we were blessed with our son in 2015. We continue to have open communication with his birthmother to this day. After some soul searching and prayer, we decided we wanted to pursue adoption once again. Just talking about it puts huge smiles on our faces! We know Adam will be a wonderful brother and pray there is a child out there we can love unconditionally and will complete our family! We hope you will give us the chance to be a part of your child’s and your life. Thank you!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
