dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mom,

If you choose us, you will be giving us an opportunity to be a family and a chance to expand our love and our lives in one thousand different ways, many we’re sure we have yet to fully understand. We appreciate your incredible courage and the sacrifices you are considering. If you bless us with this incredible gift, we will make sure your baby knows how much you love them and also understands how brave you are in making this decision. Our family will always honor you and yours.

The hardest part for us in this adoptive journey has been knowing the joy we will experience is likely a time of great difficulty for someone else. Please know that while you navigate these decisions, there are two people in the world who are wishing you and your baby health, happiness, and peace.

About Us

Megan is bright and positive. She works as a hematology/oncology physician and has dedicated her career to helping cancer patients battle the adversity that inevitably comes with their diagnosis. She LOVES animals, especially dogs. Her favorite pastime is hiking in the Big Horn Mountains with Ryan and their dogs, Kaya and Finn. She is learning about wildlife photography and is frequently outside with a camera strapped around her neck. Ryan is wise and kind. He grew up in rural Indiana, a hoosier at heart. He is the person everyone goes to for advice. Ryan works in medical sales; his company provides wheelchairs for patients who are severely disabled. Ryan is a fitness enthusiast and exercises nearly daily. His favorite hobbies include mountain biking, weightlifting, and golf. Ryan is also a music fanatic and has been playing guitar for over 20 years.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a small mountain town in Wyoming. It’s the kind of town where it is difficult to go grocery shopping without running into friends. It is beautiful, peaceful, and safe. While it is small, there is still a thriving art, theater, and music scene. Deer and wild turkeys roam around the main streets regularly. Given the proximity to the Big Horn Mountains, the community is centered around outdoor activities and recreation. We can be in the mountains on a trail with our family and our dogs within a quick ten-minute drive. The schools here are ranked nationally for academics and have a reputation for competitive athletic teams. There are a lot of programs and activities for children of all ages.

Our Extended Family

Megan has two older brothers. Megan’s mother and stepfather live ten minutes from us, and we are always doing things together. Megan and her mom are extremely close and are currently taking a fly fishing course together. They grocery shop, run errands, garden, and talk on the phone daily. Megan’s middle brother and his wife and two young boys live in Montana, which is close enough for us to visit frequently. They are also an active family, and when we are together, we try to maximize our time outside. This year we floated the Madison River and hiked the Hyalite Mountains together. Her oldest brother currently lives in Utah, but he is trying to find property in Wyoming.

Ryan is the oldest of three boys. He and his brothers are a tight unit. They have so many inside jokes and stories that it’s like they have their own language. Both of Ryan’s brothers are married with children. They don’t live as close to us as we would like, so we try to visit as much as we can! Visits always include a bit of basketball (watching or playing), visits with his grandma, or roaming the beach at Ryan’s family lake house in Michigan.

What Led Us To Adoption

We married in our mid-thirties and haven’t been successful becoming pregnant. Rather than proceeding with IVF or other methods of having children, we agreed adoption was absolutely what we wanted for ourselves and our future family. We feel very lucky in life and in love and want to share our good fortune with a baby. We hope to eventually adopt at least two children (and possibly more). Even if we become pregnant, adoption will be a part of our lives.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
