dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
We would like to start out by thanking you for considering us to be the parents of your baby. Adoption is a courageous and selfless choice we do not take lightly. We are open to any adoption plan you choose and are committed to educating your child about their biological family and the loving decision you made.
Our goal as parents is to raise a well-rounded and kind child who is curious about the world around them. As educators, we can’t wait to share our love for learning. From reading our favorite children’s books and singing our favorite songs to trying new foods and traveling the world, we would love to embrace each new opportunity with your child.
From the very beginning, your child will be surrounded by love. Our friends and family are overjoyed we have decided to adopt. They even threw us a pre-adoption shower where we received everything needed to welcome your baby. Everyone cannot wait to hang out, gather for the holidays, and celebrate milestones together. Our two dogs even have baby fever each time they play with our little nephews.
You would be providing us with a gift we cannot give ourselves as a gay couple. Words cannot express how grateful we would be to love, care for, and raise your child. We look forward to the possibility of honoring your story while also becoming a part of it.
Warmly,
Matt & Sean

About Us
It all began on a warm January night. We both had friends in town and were excited to go out. Little did we know we would bump into each other that night; the rest is history. Matt fell in love with Sean’s thoughtfulness, passion for traveling, and cooking skills. Sean fell in love with Matt’s optimism, excitement for teaching, and love for music. We got married in 2018 surrounded by family and friends. Matt currently works supporting multiple schools in our school district. He was a music teacher for seven years and recently transitioned into a leadership position. Sean works at an elementary school as a special education teacher assistant. When not at school, we love attending musicals, going to the beach, dreaming of our next trip, and hanging out with family and friends.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a large Midwestern city that offers many family-friendly activities, including zoos, beaches, street festivals, museums, and more. As employees of the local school district, we are knowledgeable about the top schools and are committed to providing a quality education for our child. We recently bought a two-family home with our best friend. Our unit has three bedrooms and a backyard that includes a patio we built ourselves. Our two dogs, Chance and Coco, love playing outside and going on long walks. Our neighborhood is community oriented and celebrates its cultural diversity. We know many of our neighbors and often see children playing on the sidewalks.
Our Extended Family
Our families are overjoyed we are adopting. Living in the Midwest puts us between Matt’s family in New York and Sean’s family in Colorado. We make multiple trips a year to spend some quality time with each side, especially during the holidays or summer breaks. Our families also visit us annually.
Matt was born and raised in New York, where his mom, stepdad, dad, and sister still live. He talks with his mom multiple times a week, and she is over the moon about her future grandchild. Matt’s extended family spans the East Coast and also makes the trek back to New York, where we all love to spend quality time barbecuing and playing yard games.
Sean grew up in South Dakota with his mom, dad, older brother, and sister. Sean’s mom sadly passed away from cancer in 2010, but his family continues to stay close. His dad and stepmom live in Colorado near his brother, sister-in-law, and three nephews, where we are able to enjoy hiking and the outdoors together. His sister lives in the same city as us, and we enjoy getting together for frequent dinners.
What Led Us To Adoption
We both always knew we wanted children. From a young age, adoption was present in both of our lives. Sean’s sister was adopted from South Korea, and Matt’s cousin was adopted from Guatemala. Through these experiences, both of us realized how special adoption can be when wanting to build a family. We look forward to the day when our new addition gets to meet our little nephews and friends’ children. As a gay couple, adoption can make our dreams a reality.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
