dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

While you are sitting here reading this letter, we understand you are contemplating one of the most difficult decisions of your life. With that being said, there are no words that can help you to make this decision. If you choose us, your child will be so loved by us. We both have open hearts ready to accept and love your child, along with you. Remember that through any hardships, He is with you. We pray that God helps you through the situation you are in and fortifies your life. We appreciate you even taking the time to consider this option for your child.

We are excited to hear from you. We would love the opportunity to get to know you. We recognize the importance of entrusting us with your child and are willing to answer any questions you have for us. We are eager to begin this journey with you.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” - Jeremiah 29:11

Matthew & Heather

About Us

Heather is a registered nurse and works in a clinic. She has a vast background in healthcare. Her hobbies and interests include reading, emergency medicine, music, and movies. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family. She is very detail oriented and caring. Matthew is a professional firefighter/EMT. He has a long history with fire rescue and emergency management. His hobbies and interests include fishing, volunteer fire and EMS, and motorsports. When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is very compassionate and empathetic and has dedicated his life to serving others. Together we complete an awesome husband-wife EMS crew. We enjoy serving our community together and helping those in need.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a small rural town in Virginia where you can’t go very far without seeing a cow. Both of our families grew up in this area. We couldn't imagine living anywhere else. We live with two lovable cats and two energetic dogs. We view our animals as our fur babies. Hobbes is a long-haired cat. Calvin is a medium-haired cat. Both cats are orange. We are partial to ginger cats. Maya is a beagle/husky mix with one blue eye and one brown eye. Millie is a golden retriever. We love our animals with all of our hearts.

Our Extended Family

Matthew has two brothers and three sisters. He comes from a blended family that views everyone as blood regardless of if they are or not. He has four cousins. Heather has one sister and one brother. She comes from a traditional family. Her father passed away from cancer, but she is close with the remaining members. She has ten cousins.

We both enjoy getting together with family whenever possible. We enjoy cookouts or trips up to the mountain. Music can play a huge role in these gatherings. We enjoy music and collecting vinyl records. We have quite an extensive record collection.

Our second family includes those in fire and EMS. We met during our time volunteering for our local rescue squad. EMS is something we are both passionate about. We are both still active volunteers in fire and EMS.

What Led Us To Adoption

We began our journey to expand our family soon after getting married. We have dreamed of being parents. It is our lifelong goal. After a long journey through infertility, we were guided by God toward adoption. Although we are unable to have a biological child, there is no difference in our minds in how we are blessed to become parents. We were made to be parents. We are excited to begin this adoption journey. If you so choose, we would love to get to know you more.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
