dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
We know choosing adoption for your child is not an easy decision. Having volunteered at a pregnancy clinic, we also know you are a very strong, selfless, and loving person, and we thank you for considering adoption. We pray this decision gives peace to your soul knowing that, if chosen, we will give our all to raise your child in the most loving and kind manner possible.
For years we have longed to have a big family. We absolutely love being parents and have enjoyed raising our daughter, and we can’t wait to grow our family. We have so much fun with the simple things in life, like playing at the park, walking the dogs, swimming at the local beach, and family movie nights. Growing our family will bring so much joy to all of us and will make the simple things all the more precious.
We believe all kids are gifts from God, and if you choose us, we will love your baby as one of the most precious blessings we have ever received in our lives. We will support, protect, educate, and nourish her or him with our whole heart and soul. It’s our sincerest promise to you. We will love your baby forever, without fail!
We will also always honor your place as mother and are open to whatever relationship or communication you find is best as part of our family.
May God bless you and your baby!
Our names are Mark and Katherine. We met in college while on a cruise in Chile during Mark’s study abroad. We fell in love after months of being friends. After finishing his degree in the U.S., Mark moved to Chile to be with Kathy. We lived there for six years, got married, and then moved to the U.S. to raise our family. Mark works for a healthcare company. He enjoys being at home with the family, biking, and family movie nights. He is calm and gentle, and he loves to take care of his family. One of his unique hobbies is publishing outdated books. Katherine has chosen to stay at home and loves dedicating her time to raising our daughter; nothing is more important for her. She is a very warm, caring, and loving person. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, dancing, gardening, and cooking Chilean recipes.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a family-friendly suburb in Illinois known for safety and great schools. It is also known for all of the park district activities and events for the whole family. In addition, there is a local beach. We honestly couldn’t think of a better place to raise kids. We own a two-story house with four bedrooms and a finished basement where we keep all the toys. Our house is a few blocks away from the local elementary school and is close to neighborhood parks where kids love to play. We have two dogs, Bruce (westie) and Minny Molly (yorkie), who are both very cute and spend their time being pampered and chasing squirrels and rabbits.
Our Extended Family
We love getting together with our family. We are blessed to live a few minutes from Mark’s parents, who will be involved in raising the kids. We get together with them often for lunch or dinner, family activities, and holidays.
Mark has a younger brother who lives in North Carolina with his wife and two children and an older sister who lives about 45 minutes away with her husband and two kids. We get together with them every year for the holidays and family activities during the summer at Mark’s parents’ house.
Kathy’s side of the family lives in Chile. We video chat with them every week and also love flying down to Chile to visit them. We also enjoy having them stay at our house in the States. We have so much fun with them with the big family meals and non-stop laughter. We see them at least once per year for a month or two and can’t wait to see them again afterward. It’s always an adventure!
What Led Us To Adoption
We are very excited to have begun the adoption process! Ever since getting married, we dreamed about having at least five children, so after having our daughter, we wanted to continue growing our family. After a few miscarriages and years of infertility treatments, we accepted that God had a different plan for us to grow our family. Our daughter, Emy, also deeply longs for a sibling to take care of and play with. “Daddy, when am I going to have a brother or sister?” We always answer something like “In God’s time, Emy, He will give you a brother or sister.” We believe adoption is that beautiful plan God has chosen for us.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
