dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We first wish to tell you how incredibly grateful we are to be considered for this gift of life. It is no small act of sacrifice or selflessness, and we can’t begin to imagine the emotions you must be experiencing. We realize it must be overwhelming to view numerous profiles and to feel something special from the profile of a stranger with just a few pictures and words.

The gravity of this decision is not lost on us, and we will live every day showing our gratitude in the love, care, and concern we already have for this child. We look forward to being a part of their life as they grow, learn, and develop into the best person they can be should you choose us.

We will always put this baby first. They will always know the love of a family, and we will provide them with the happiest life we can. We wish you peace of mind in knowing they are safe and loved beyond measure.

There is nothing more we could ask for than the opportunity to be parents. While our struggle to achieve that dream has been heartbreaking at times, adoption gives us a new hope to make this dream a reality.

About Us

We met on an online dating site, and before our first date, we found out Marissa’s dad was Seth’s high school math teacher! Luckily he had only good things to say about Seth, so Marissa agreed to the date. We both knew after that night we had found the person we were meant to spend forever with. Seth is a landscape foreman, and Marissa is a registered nurse who works in oncology giving chemotherapy. Marissa loves animals, gardening, doing puzzles, and reading a good book in the hammock. Seth loves the outdoors, helping Marissa garden, drawing, and painting. Together, we enjoy hiking, camping, indoor rock climbing, playing with our dogs, and spending time with our family both at home and at our camp on a pond in Maine. Our favorite thing to do is laugh. Seth’s love of laughing is just one of the many reasons Marissa fell in love with him.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a rural area of New Hampshire. Our home is surrounded by 1,200 acres of conservation land. In the summer, corn is grown in the back fields, and there are miles of trails to explore on foot, bikes, and snowmobiles. Lakes, rivers, the ocean, and mountains are all within 30 minutes of our house. While we are completely surrounded by nature, we are only five minutes from the local school, restaurants, and shops. We have a dog named Remi, and her favorite thing is playing fetch. She can’t wait to have a little sibling to throw the ball for her!

Our Extended Family

We are fortunate to live close to both of our families. We live next to Marissa’s childhood home, where her parents still live. Marissa is the oldest of three children, and Seth is the youngest of three.

Seth’s family owns a horse farm close to our home. We enjoy spending time there going on walks in the fields, tending to the horses, and helping Seth’s father run the farm. Holidays are very busy as we get together with both families.

We have numerous extended family that live nearby and have close relationships with all of them. We both consider our cousins and siblings as some of our best friends. In the summer, we enjoy spending time with our parents and siblings camping, having backyard BBQs, swimming, playing games, celebrating birthdays and other milestones, and doing projects around the house. One of our favorite spring activities is making maple syrup from the trees on our property. We spend many weekends at our camp in Maine with family and friends year round.

What Led Us To Adoption

We started our journey to expand our family not long into our relationship. As a child, when someone would ask Seth what he wanted to be when he grew up, his answer was always “a dad.” We learned early on that Marissa is unable to carry a biological child. That only solidified our desire to grow our family through the beauty of adoption. Our families have experience with adoption, and we have seen firsthand the joy adopting a child can bring. Adoption gives us the opportunity to become the parents we always hoped to be. We feel so lucky to be able to welcome a child into our home as we both believe there is no greater gift than watching your child grow, learn, laugh, and love.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
