dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
We feel honored you are considering our family for your child. As an adopted person, Lisa understands how important it is to have a healthy connection with her own birth mother. We believe in honoring the past, present, and future. One of our greatest sorrows has been not being able to have children. We promise, if you choose us, your child will know how much you love them, and we will always nurture their curiosity and love for you.
If you choose us for this blessing, your baby will be raised with love, devotion, laughter, and life skills to prepare them for the world. We value education and will encourage your child to grow up with a curious mind and to always have questions. Your child will have the opportunity to join any extracurricular activities they are interested in. They will always be encouraged to have and follow their own dreams. They will have the chance for adventure every day.
Your baby will be welcomed into a large and loving family. They will have cousins of all ages to play, grow, and travel with. We are so excited to go camping with your child and to travel and open the world to them.
With love and grace,
Lisa and Robert
We are Lisa and Robert! We met in high school and did not hit it off. After spending time together in the same circles, however, we became friends and then best friends. After Lisa graduated from college out of state, it became more apparent to us that we were compatible. We long-distance dated in 2014 until Lisa came home to Michigan. Her mom teases she was “supposed to get a roommate, not a boyfriend.” Our families have always been involved, from annual family reunions to vacations at the summer house where we were married in 2017. Robert is a hard-working sports fanatic with a great sense of humor. He is currently a building specialist at a wonderful family company. Lisa is a kind-hearted nanny who loves to play and go to Disney. She is a child at heart and keeps up with the kids.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a spacious house with four bedrooms. Our fenced-in yard is perfect for running around, with space for a play structure, fire pit, and swimming pool. Between the community center, parks, library, zoo, and museums, we always have new places to explore. We have a beautiful, calm Dutch shepherd, Alice, who loves long trail walks and camping. Our tabby cat, Honey, loves snuggles and pets from anyone willing to volunteer. Our neighborhood is filled with a mix of families with children of all ages.
Our Extended Family
We are very lucky to have a supportive extended family. Lisa’s mom, dad, and aunts play online games together most days as well as talking often. Her parents are ready with Disney passes to welcome their first grandchild. Our family loves to spend time at our summer home either inside reading, playing games, or together on the beach or in the water. Christmas traditions include a cookie decorating competition, spending time in the hot tub at Lisa’s parents’ house, watching football, and playing card games. New Year’s Eve includes dancing competitions, Twister, and our version of Whose Line Is It Anyway?
Robert’s dad and sister live close by. Robert’s sister and her husband have a daughter and two sons. Our get-togethers are full of laughter, playing games, and home-cooked meals. Our nephews enjoy playing video games with Auntie Lisa and Uncle Bobby. Our niece enjoys day trips with Auntie going to local art and science museums, parks, and zoos.
What Led Us To Adoption
We started our journey to grow our family about three years ago. After attempting infertility treatments for a year, we had a deep conversation and found our hearts open to adoption. Lisa was adopted with her brother, and is building a relationship with her own birthmother. She has seen the extended family adoption created for her, including three additional siblings and over a dozen cousins. We want to continue our family traditions with the joy we have seen from adoption firsthand.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
