dear expectant mother

Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile. Becoming parents to our daughter through adoption was a beautiful experience that left us feeling truly blessed. We are hopeful and excited about becoming parents again through the miracle of adoption.

We promise to dedicate our lives to loving your baby unconditionally and are committed in protecting, encouraging, and celebrating your baby throughout his or her life. We also want you to know that your baby will be surrounded not only by our love but the love from our family and friends, who will also cherish and love him or her wholeheartedly. Although we haven’t met yet, you and your baby already hold a special place in our hearts.

We admire and respect you so much for the brave decision and the loving sacrifices you are making for your baby and will be forever grateful to you. We’ve both have been very fortunate in that we come from loving and supportive families. We would be eternally grateful to be blessed with another beautiful gift to make our family truly complete.

Thank you again for considering us.

About Us

A setup by mutual friends at a football game led to a friendship that blossomed into love, and we just celebrated our 10-year anniversary. We are a loving, hardworking family who believes in core values such as honesty, integrity, respect, and compassion. Lisa uses these on a daily basis as a full-time Security Forces member in the Air Force, and Don works as a mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office along with being a part-time union rep, which gives him the opportunity to fight for his fellow employees’ rights. Our family loves spending time together by taking walks in the neighborhood or along the trails in the local parks and playing board games. We also enjoy playing soccer or doing any outdoor activity, we love to travel, and spending time with family and friends is a must as well.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a spacious four-bedroom home with a big backyard and a playset. We are located in a great subdivision where everyone is super friendly. There are plenty of young children on our street for our daughter Alexandra to play with. We love the fact that there is a great mix of ethnicity along with all different age groups represented, and the fact that there are four local police officers who live in our subdivision gives us comfort that it’s a safe neighborhood as well. We all love animals, and we currently have three cats: Max, who is almost 17 years old, and two newly rescued cats, Arizona who is 1 year old and Sierra who is two years old.

Our Extended Family

I don’t think we have enough space to list everyone in our lives that we consider family. Let’s see…there is Don’s sister Jaymie, Don’s brother Jeff, and Lisa’s sister Michelle. There is a grandfather and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces, but not all of our family is blood-related. We have surrounded ourselves with extraordinary people whom we love and consider family. All were so supportive, encouraging, and willing to lend us a hand when we brought Alexandra home. Our families (relatives and friends) have all shown her so much love, and honestly, we think she loves the attention. We are all excited and cannot wait to grow our family once again, although we think Alexandra (Alex) is the most excited about being a big sister. We also look forward to carrying on our family traditions, such as eating together each night at the dinner table and talking about each other’s day. Each holiday brings special memories as well, but Christmas is especially special. We wait until after Alexandra goes to bed then wrap all the gifts and put them under the tree. Seeing her expression in the morning is priceless.

Our Adoption Story

Becoming parents was something we both always wanted. Prior to being married, we discussed that we wanted to have at least two children. After a year of trying and not getting pregnant, we went to a fertility clinic. With our chances of conceiving at less than two percent, we knew immediately that we wanted to adopt. In 2013 we started the adoption process and early the following year were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Alexandra (Alex). She is now five and is quite a little mommy’s helper along with being a daddy’s girl. We are hopeful to be blessed with a second child through adoption.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
