Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We realize this may be a difficult decision for you, but we truly feel it’s a decision that is courageous and done out of love for your child. We sincerely believe that adoption is a wonderful gift and we admire you so much for considering it and are honored that you may consider us. Know that your child will be unconditionally loved and are hoping that you will bless us with the opportunity to share that love with your child.
Hi, we are Lisa and Don.
Lisa is originally from a small town in central Maine. Immediately after high school Lisa made the decision to join the Air Force. When her four-year enlistment was completed, Lisa then chose to move to Tennessee to finish college and in May of 1999 earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. While Lisa was attending school, she realized that she also missed serving her country and joined back up in the Air Force as a traditional guardsman while working full time with Southwest Airlines. In 2013, Lisa was given the opportunity to take a position with the Air National Guard full time, which unfortunately meant leaving Southwest, but she knew that being in the military full time would be the best decision for her family and for her and Don’s future along with any family they were hoping to have.
Don is originally from Vernon, New Jersey, but at the age of nine his family moved to southern Florida. After graduation, he acquired his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, and worked at the Miami Dolphins Training and Ticketing facility. In 2005 he moved to Nashville, TN and took the US Post Office exam. He passed with high marks and is now currently working for the US Post Office. Along with being a mail carrier he is also a union representative for his fellow workers.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a four-bedroom home in a great subdivision where everyone is so super friendly. There are plenty of young children, just on our street alone for our daughter Alex to play with. We love the fact that there is a great mix of ethnicity along with all different age groups represented and the fact that there are four local police officers who live in our subdivision gives us comfort that it’s also a safe neighborhood as well.
Don and I also love animals. Currently we only have the one cat who is almost 17 years old, but we definitely see some kittens in the near future.
Our Extended Family
I don’t think we have enough space to list everyone in our lives that we consider family. We have Don’s sister Jaymie, Don’s brother Jeff, and Lisa’s sister Michelle. We have a great-grandfather, aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces. But not all of our family is blood-related. We have surrounded ourselves with extraordinary people who have such big hearts and at a moment’s notice would do anything for us (and we for them). Everyone was so supportive and encouraging when we adopted Alex. They have shown her so much love. They all are looking forward to loving and supporting the next member of our family! Of course, everyone will continue assisting us by providing their guidance, sharing babysitting duties, and still occasionally spoiling a new baby at birthdays and holidays.
Our Adoption Story
When we found out that we couldn’t conceive naturally and wouldn’t be able to have children on our own, we knew immediately that we wanted to adopt. Becoming parents was and is something that we both have always wanted. In 2013 we started the adoption process and February 2014 we were blessed with a beautiful baby girl whom we named Alexandra (Alex). She is now four and is quite a little mommy’s helper along with being wrapped around her daddy’s finger. She has a great personality and will make a wonderful big sister. If we are blessed with a second child, know that he or she will be raised in a loving home and that we will continue to raise that child having faith in God. With our siblings along with our extended families, we believe that you can never have too many people love a child. Our commitment to this child would be one of unconditional love. Everyone is extremely excited as Don and I are at becoming parents again and Alex becoming a big sister.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
