dear expectant mother

We believe hardships often come for a reason, and we think maybe we were unable to have a baby on our own because we were meant to be a part of your baby’s life. Our hope is if you choose to give us the privilege and blessing of raising your baby, together we will make such a beautiful life for us all. It is such a blessing to be given the opportunity to have a child entrusted to us, and it makes us want to work extra hard to make sure every sports event, recital, play, and bake sale are seen as privileges your decision continues to give us.

We cannot wait to teach your child everything we know and will make sure someone else can fill in the gaps where we are lacking. We also can’t wait to learn from them through the unique way a child sees the world. We hope to show them the world as well, traveling whenever we can so we can all have an appreciation for other cultures and ways of life. When we can’t travel, we will use our imaginations, build tents, read books, bake cupcakes, and explore everything this special child wants to know. We can’t wait to help them achieve all of their dreams.

About Us

We met at a fundraiser for a local arts organization about 12 years ago. After a casual friendship, we decided to go on a date in 2012. We got married on St. Patrick’s Day in 2017 in a perfect ceremony, surrounded by our immediate family. We live with our two beloved dogs, Daphne and Giovanna, in Oklahoma. As dedicated sports fans, we love to watch basketball and football, whether it’s on the couch with the dogs or live. James is a medical trainer and works for a hospital network. He is patient and kind and gets rave reviews from all of his students. Lesley is a forensic DNA analyst. She works hard to bring answers to victims of violent crime and also volunteers for the Innocence Project. We enjoy traveling as well, even if it is just to a neighboring town for the day.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a historic and very diverse neighborhood near the center of one of the largest cities in Oklahoma. Our home was built in the 1920s and is two stories, with a basement and a very large yard. We live near some of the best schools in the district and also several charter schools. We are close to many family-friendly and cultural attractions, including a major sports arena, two wonderful parks, several museums, libraries, and a world-class riverside attraction. Our city is warm and friendly, having the distinction of being large enough for major events but small enough that we don’t have the concerns of a large city, such as huge crowds. We love dogs and have two sweet rescues. Giovanna and Daphne rule the house for now, but they would love having a little brother or sister to clean up after.

Our Extended Family

We both have small but close immediate families. James’s mother, sister, and brother-in-law, as well as Lesley’s cousin and his family, all live less than 15 minutes from us. We love that we can often have get-togethers with the local family. James’s niece lives in Austin but visits several times a year. Lesley’s parents, sister, brother-in law, and twin nieces live in Houston, but we still see them at least a few times a year, and we video chat with them weekly.

Our families are very important to us, and they are so excited about our adoption journey. They have supported us in every possible way. Since Lesley is half Greek, we enjoy exploring her heritage through food and stories from her dad, which we can’t wait to share with a child.

What Led Us To Adoption

Since before we got married, we knew we wanted a child. Both of us delight in the idea of seeing each other in the role of a parent. After we got married, we started trying immediately. We knew there was a chance we might have some challenges having a biological child, and we did. With fertility treatments, we were able to conceive twice. Sadly, we lost both babies. When talk of more invasive fertility measures started, we soon decided to focus on adoption. Adoption is such a beautiful opportunity to change not just our lives but those of a mom and a child as well. We are humbled and excited to be starting this journey!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
