We are very grateful that you are choosing to place your child with an adoptive family. The love that you have for your child is beyond compare and we believe that it is very important to share that information with the adoptive child as they grow up.
Although we will never know how difficult a decision this is for you, we admire your desire to allow another family the experience of raising a child. Thank you for reading our profile and we welcome the opportunity to get to know your better.
We met at a friend’s wedding, became best friends, and have been happily married for 20 years. Larry works as a Chief Financial Officer for a hospital and likes to do woodworking projects and outdoor activities in his spare time. He also enjoys doing handyman work and making chocolate treats at Christmas time. Janice is a cashier/business office assistant and will be a stay at home mom when we adopt. Janice enjoys baking desserts, playing the piano, and doing outdoor activities with Larry. Together we enjoy traveling, going on bike rides, hiking, or going for a walk around the local park. One of our goals is to see all 50 states, and we have been to 16 states so far. We cannot wait to one day share these experiences with our child.
Our Home & Pets
We live on a quiet street away from the sound of heavy traffic. Our ranch style house has three bedrooms, two ½ bathrooms, a partial finished basement, and a large back yard. We are a few blocks away from the local schools, large city park, and a grocery store. Our two shorthaired cats – Mitten and Tiger – are sisters from the same litter and we have had them since April 2002. Mitten is a black calico cat with four white paws and Tiger is a black striped cat. They are comical to watch when they are playful and chasing each other throughout the house. They love attention and sleeping on our laps whenever we watch TV.
Our Extended Family
Larry is one of eleven children with five brothers and five sisters. His dad passed away when he was ten and his mom died in 2004. When we have family gatherings for holidays, birthdays, or just because, the group becomes about 40-50 people with all the extended family. He has 22 nephews and nieces and 10 great nephews and nieces. Everyone gets along great and lends a helping hand whenever needed. We enjoy roasting hotdogs and marshmallows by the campfire, playing cards, board games, baseball and basketball when the weather is nice.
What Led Us To Adoption
We look forward to hopefully becoming parents someday. We have struggled with infertility, which led us to our decision to adopt. Adoption has always been something that we wanted to do because we both have cousins that have adopted. In addition, Janice has two cousins that were adopted. After speaking with them, we were sure that this was the path we were meant to take in order to share our love for children.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
