Kyle comes from a large family. He has five brothers and three sisters along with 18 nieces and nephews. Jennifer comes from a much smaller family, which consists of two brothers and one sister. She also has six nieces and nephews. Kyle still has both his parents, who are divorced, but he remains close to both of them. Jennifer only has her mom, who lives with us in our mother-in-law suite.
Most of our siblings live within a couple hours of us, so we often visit with them or communicate through phone calls. For the few who live much farther away, we like to take mini vacations to visit with them. Family traditions consist mostly of holiday get-togethers. Since Kyle has a huge family, we end up having one with them and another one with just Jennifer’s family. We always look forward to seeing them and wish we could visit more often.
