We are grateful that you are taking the time to get to know us through our profile. We recognize that your decision to choose adoption for your child is not an easy one, but it is an expression of care and love for him or her. We would love the opportunity to care for your child by raising him or her as our own, in our family. We promise to raise your child in a loving, supportive environment and intend to raise him or her in the full knowledge of your act of loving sacrifice, passing on your love for him or her through the telling of their unique adoption story – how God brought them to us through you.
We have loved this season of our lives together and we have invested a lot of time and love into our relationship with each other and our kids. However, we are convinced that our family isn’t complete and are eager to welcome a new child into our family. Being parents is one of our greatest joys and we devote ourselves to the privilege of raising our children: loving, teaching, and supporting them. We are honored by your consideration and are challenged by your courage as you choose adoption for your child.
We are Kyle & Emily and we are overjoyed to pursue adoption! Our history together is quite unique as we have known each other since we were babies! Our families have a long history of friendship with one another, so although we met when we were little, we didn’t really get to know each other until college. We have been happily married since the summer of 2008 and are greatly looking forward to celebrating our tenth anniversary next summer!
We both work at a local Christian college. Kyle helps lead the chapel band and is a part-time professor while Emily is the Director of Residence Life. We really enjoy spending time together as a family taking walks on the trails near our house, playing baseball in our backyard, boating on the lake, watching sports and movies, exploring new places, and having a good conversation over a cup of coffee. We are proud parents to two children: Asher (3.5 years) and Eden (2 years).
Our Home & Pets
We’ve lived in the same town for our entire married life and we love it! We live in a beautiful old 3-bedroom home in a small lake town. Our house is just a short walk from biking/walking trails, a lake, a park with a splash pad, small shops, and a college campus. Our hometown is a diverse, family-friendly community and we enjoy being a part of it. We also have a pet – a one-year-old cat named Kirk. He is blonde with white stripes and came to our family last summer when he showed up as a stray on our front porch. Although we weren’t looking to adopt a pet, we quickly grew attached and decided to keep him. He is very affectionate and playful and is great with our kids.
Our Extended Family
Both of us were born into loving, supportive, Christian families. We’re both very close with our families and live within a couple hours of our parents. Kyle grew up in Ohio with an older sister who is now married with three children, and a younger brother who is also married. His parents are retired teachers and love spending time with their grandkids! They even recently moved to be closer and visit us once a week!
Emily’s parents live in Michigan where her dad is a pastor and her mom substitute teaches. Emily’s older sister lives near her parents in Michigan with her daughter. Her older brother lives in New Jersey with his wife and son near Emily’s younger sister who is a grad student at Princeton University. Of the two youngest sisters, one was recently married and lives nearby while the other lives with her boyfriend and newborn baby girl in Illinois! Our families are very involved in our lives and are excited to see our family grow through adoption!
What Led Us To Adoption
Even before we got married, we both felt a great desire to adopt children! We initially began pursuing adoption in 2011. We had to put that desire on hold for a bit though, as first Asher and then Eden came into our lives. Our hearts haven’t wavered in our desire to welcome children into our family through adoption! We desire more children and our hope is that this process would be the route through which God might grow our family. We have been personally touched by the blessings of adoption as Emily’s two youngest sisters were added to her family through adoption. Also, Kyle’s best friend from college was adopted as a baby and some of our closest friends are pursuing adoption currently. They have all added tremendous blessing to our lives and their presence and stories have made us even more eager to adopt!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
