dear expectant mother

We are truly, deeply, and sincerely grateful you are considering us as adoptive parents. Being able to unconditionally love, support, and treasure a sweet little one has always been a dream of ours. We don’t take the opportunity lightly.

Agape, which is Greek word for unconditional love, is very dear to our hearts. It is on the inside of Kramer’s wedding band, and it was part of our vows. We make the same vow to all our future children.

We promise to love them with an agape love, to support their dreams and life journey, to treasure and cherish them as they grow, and to be there for them. We want to be the parents who paint their faces the colors of our child’s soccer team, be the dad that twirls his little girl on stage at father-daughter dances, or be the mom that yells, “That’s my boy!” when he wins the spelling bee. We look forward to kissing boo-boos, praying each night with our children, and teaching them how to make our family’s secret recipes. We want to show them the world, let them experience new cultures, and let them shake hands with people from all walks of life.

We want to do these things and more for this sweet little one. Thank you for your consideration of this precious gift.

About Us

We first met in nursing school in 2012. We dated for 10 months, were engaged for six months, and now have been happily married for five years. We agree that choosing to spend the rest of our lives together was the easiest decision we have ever made. We spent the first couple years of our marriage traveling and renovating our first home while Lyndsay was getting her master’s. Kramer is an emergency room registered nurse, and Lyndsay is a nurse practitioner for cardiology. We spend most of our free time together or with our friends, some of which we have kept since elementary school. We always want to help each other grow to be the best possible versions of ourselves as individuals, which strengths us as a couple.

Our Home & Pets

We live in the Midwest in a reverse 1.5-story home with four bedrooms. We live in a lake community and live on the lake. Our living room is our favorite spot, but you can see the lake from every bedroom in the home. There is something so peaceful about living by water. We live on a peninsula, which gives us a little shy of 1/2 an acre of green space. Our back yard has perfect, mature trees meant for a swing. We cannot wait to share the peace and serenity of lakefront living with a sweet little someone one day. We have two dogs: a golden retriever and silver lab. They are very docile and love when our niece and nephews come over to play.

Our Extended Family

We are lucky enough to have the majority of both extended families within a 20-minute drive of us. In fact, both of our parents are within walking distance. We already have a niece and nephews, and we’ve enjoyed being a part of their “firsts” the past years. We have monthly dinners with our extended families (if not more often). We take a trip somewhere new in the U.S. with Kramer’s family each year and take an international trip with Lyndsay’s family every few years.

Starting in the fall, our house will smell of pumpkin, chai, and amber. We carve pumpkins we’ve picked from a pumpkin patch, and the Midwest has great corn mazes and sunflower fields to play in. During the holiday season, we make gingerbread houses each Christmas, play games, and drink a lot of hot chocolate with marshmallows. We love taking snow hikes and building snowmen. Our back yard looks like a winter wonderland with all the mature trees when it snows. In the spring, we bring the boat out around Easter. Kramer is usually the first wakeboarder on the lake. (Lyndsay waits until June for warm waters.) Summers are spent local, and we live for days on the lake, evening sunset cruises, and smores around our campfire.

What Led Us To Adoption

Our adoption story is simple: It was part of our family plan from the very beginning. We talked about what our dream of a family would look like “one day” before we were engaged. Without knowing each other’s wishes, we both desired adoption to be part of our story and legacy. Adoption is such a gift. We have seen the fruit and blessings of adoption in our own lives. Some of our closest friends have adopted, and Lyndsay has a cousin who was raised like a sister. In both situations, the ability and opportunity to show unconditional love to someone, even though they may not share your DNA, speaks volumes to the kind of home and family we want to create.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
