dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We can’t imagine what an enormous decision this must be for you, and we hope you feel supported to make whatever decision brings you the most happiness and security. Please know that should you choose us to provide a home for your baby, we will spend the rest of our lives devoted to loving and caring for this special child.

Whether it’s singing karaoke together or making a mess in the kitchen, we can’t wait to share our favorite moments together. We’ll travel the world as a family, and we are both committed to providing your child with the best education possible. Above all else, we’ll make laughter and learning a part of every single day.

When it comes to raising your child, we are excited for both the big moments and the small ones. We want to help your child discover the world and accomplish their dreams, but at the same time, we are excited to tuck them in at night, tell them their first “dad joke,” and teach them to appreciate all the awesomeness life has to offer.

About Us

We’re a loving, happy, and adventurous couple that enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. We’re both passionate about our careers, with Kevin serving as a cancer doctor and Zak invested as a partner in a technology firm. Our relationship was love at first sight when Zak approached Kevin while out with their respective friends. From that day forward, we’ve rarely spent a day apart, and we were so happy to eventually be married with all of the people who matter to us present. On a personal front, Kevin enjoys musical theater, running, and trying out new restaurants. Zak loves video games, architecture, and design. We both love living in a big city and having access to the culture, diversity, and art it provides.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a beautiful home in the heart of one of the finest neighborhoods in Illinois. We’re surrounded by parks, museums, lakefront, and some of the best schools in the country. We’re so excited to have fun new adventures as a family and to take part in all of the activities that happen around us. Living in a beautiful city means we can provide and immerse a child in culture, art, and music and support any interests he or she may have. We feel very fortunate to have so many family activities so close to where we live.

Our Extended Family

Both of our families live close by, and we couldn’t be more tight-knit. Zak has two beautiful younger sisters who are married and soon starting families of their own. Kevin has an older brother who is his best friend and is also starting to think about his family planning. We’re both so incredibly lucky to have such wonderfully fun families that have always loved and supported us, and our childhood upbringings were a dream come true.

Education was always a priority in our households, and we were fortunate enough to have families that supported our journeys through medical school, law school, and more. But more importantly, we were raised with laughter, openness, and stability, and it’s truly the only model we know for raising a family.

Among the things we have in common with our families is a love of celebration—whether it’s a birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or even a big personal achievement—and we take any opportunity to come together to eat and laugh and enjoy special moments as a family. Most of the best moments we share are at a dinner table, and we often joke that for us, life is what happens in between meals.

What Led Us To Adoption

Throughout both of our lives, we have always dreamed of becoming fathers. Kevin worked in an international orphanage while serving in the Peace Corps and saw firsthand the tremendous gift adoption can be. When discussing our family planning, we explored many options, including surrogacy, but we kept coming back to the idea that the best option for us was to adopt a child. We both have close friends who have adopted children or were adopted themselves, and we’ve always believed unyielding love is what makes a family. Nothing else comes close.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
