dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you so much for considering us! We realize this must be a very hard decision for you. We are loving, caring parents who, if you choose us, will expose your child to many different people and cultures through travel and life experiences. We will love and adore your child. We want you to know we will support and encourage your child to believe in themselves and encourage him or her to reach their full potential. We will cook together, celebrate together, and learn and grow together.
A mother’s intuition is powerful. Trust it. We once saw a onesie that read, “A child’s soul chooses us wisely.” We have to believe that. Please know that our children look forward to sharing their lives and experiences with another sibling, and know that your baby will be loved, supported, respected, and cherished always!

About Us
Mark has a degree in photography. He owns and operates a small resort and a general store/restaurant/music venue. He enjoys making homemade pizza and baking bread. Kelly is passionate about her family and friends and building community. She is a founder and board president of a Montessori elementary school. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing but is currently assisting in the businesses and raising children. We love biking, hiking, boating, fishing, traveling, and cooking together. We enjoy seeing live music and met through friends at a large music event on NYE 1999. Through a traveling nursing job, Kelly moved a state away, and we started dating; eventually we moved in together. We married in September 2005. We love spending time with our children, teaching them how to create art and music as well as spending time exploring nature together.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a craftsman house in a small, safe, family-friendly town. We have a cabin in the mountains where we go hiking, spend time on the river, play board games, and go cross-country skiing in the winter. We own a beachfront resort, so we often stay there and enjoy walking the beaches and having bonfires with friends. We love exploring the islands near us and in Canada on our boat. We paddleboard and kayak. We enjoy evening movies on the boat and sleeping under the stars. The best place to wake up is on the water! The schools in our town are the top in our state. We share our love of the outdoors and our life experiences with our two children and our dog, Mesa.
Our Extended Family
Kelly is one of six children, and two siblings live nearby. Our children love playing together and are best friends. Her family lives in three states, so we have a reunion every few years. Last time it was her parents’ fiftieth anniversary, and it was a wonderful time! Her parents visit often, and we are all very close.
Mark is the youngest of three. His oldest brother died in a tragic car accident when he was 21. The loss of his brother brought a lot of sadness to his family. With the passing years, we have healed, and it has deepened our bond and allowed us to focus on what is truly important in life: love and family. His parents and sister live in the Midwest, but we visit each other often, allowing us to carry on family traditions and remaining close despite the distance. We celebrate summer solstice as well as having traditions of camping and meals tied to the different fishing seasons: salmon, prawns, and crab. We spend a lot of our time on or near the Salish Sea.
What Led Us To Adoption
Fifteen years ago, Kelly said to a friend, “I want biological children and to adopt a child.” We had trouble getting pregnant and thought a lot about adoption at that time. We since have had two children and still really want to grow our family. We spend so much time thinking, praying, and communicating about adoption. We are foster parents in hopes that path would work to grow our family, but it has not. That yearning to expand our family brought us to Angel Adoption. We have friends who have been adopted and have adopted children. We have spent many hours talking with them about their experiences, and we remain encouraged, optimistic, and excited to continue the journey to adopt and grow our family.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
