dear expectant mother
First of all, thank you so much for all you are doing for your baby. We know that it takes an incredible amount of strength and courage to consider and choose adoption. Please know we want to be there for you and your baby in any way we can. It is our goal to make this process as easy as possible. We so appreciate that you are considering us as your child’s adoptive family. It is such a precious gift you would be giving us, one we can’t give ourselves.
We have been trying to start our family since we got married and are very excited to be parents. If you choose us, your child will be the center of our world, where your child will experience unconditional love, safety, security, support, encouragement, and opportunities to pursue their own unique dreams and passions.
Relationships are vital, and we would like to have whatever kind of relationship you would like with us. Your child will know about you and your family and all you did for him or her. We pray you make the best decision for you and your baby. Thank you again for considering us.
Hi! We are Mike and Kathy! A friend set us up thinking we would hit it off, and she was right! After knowing each other for a year, we got engaged and then married in October of 2014. We love to travel together and have been to Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Jamaica. We look forward to the chance to share that passion with a child. While spending time with friends and family, we often cheer on our favorite sports team or try a new recipe to share. As an elementary teacher, Kathy is equipped to handle the needs of a child. Mike is ready to tackle any challenge our home may face with his even temperament and ability to fix anything. We make each other laugh but can share our hopes and dreams in a more serious moment. We are looking forward to meeting you to share more about ourselves!
We live in a townhome in a midwest suburb. Our neighborhood has a playground where we envision taking our child. We enjoy walking on the trail right behind our house that goes through our neighborhood. Our home is close to high quality schools, but also near many activities that a son or daughter can join. We are lucky enough to live close to a variety of things that we can enjoy as a family - from museums & aquariums to sports venues & hiking trails. We look forward to exploring the area with a son or daughter!
Our Extended Family
Mike is from a large family. He has two brothers and 3 sisters. Our nieces and nephews range from babysitting age to just shy of a year old. There will be many cousins for our future child to play and interact with. Mike’s mom is still in the area, as are many of his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Some of Mike’s cousins have been adopted themselves so we can rely on them to help us through this journey.
Kathy’s mom lives locally, and they enjoy weekly dinners together. Sunday Zooms have also become the norm since Kathy’s older sister and younger brother live out of state. Kathy’s aunts, uncles, and cousins also live out of state, but that just means there are many places to go on vacation so we can visit family (& we visit them!). On Kathy’s side our nieces and nephews range from babysitting age to elementary age.
We are close to our families and enjoy spending time with them. Texting, phone calls, visits, and vacations are something we do often for no special reason. Our family and friends are ready to lend a hand as needed to make this the most loved baby in the state!
What Led Us To Adoption
Since our wedding, we knew starting a family was our greatest wish. Unfortunately, Kathy was diagnosed with breast cancer a month before our wedding and had to put a family on hold while she went through treatment. (Cancer free 7 years!) After treatment, we did try to start our family, but facing some fertility issues, we decided that adoption was for us. We chose to pursue adoption because we feel that it is more about being a family than how we become one. We believe that it is a beautiful way to create a family. We know that our child is out there somewhere. We (and the rest of our family) are just waiting to meet him or her (and you!).

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
