dear expectant mother

We would like to begin by acknowledging the fact that if you are looking at our profile right now, we know you have been grappling with some difficult decisions, and those decisions must weigh heavily on your heart. Please understand that we, too, do not take this decision lightly, and we want to thank you for your time spent even considering us as potential parents for your baby. Please know you would be giving your child a world of abundant resources, a home where there is love and a passion for working hard, and a family that loves to laugh and spend time together.

Although our journey to being parents has been a complicated one, we are not yet ready to give up on having a family. We would love to give your baby what we grew up with: values, a strong work ethic, memorable family traditions and events, and the guidance given to us by our families.

We will make sure we support and encourage your baby to be the best version of him- or herself. We look forward to providing your child with rewarding life experiences, like traveling to new destinations or going to musical performances.

About Us

We met when we were both part of the marching band in college. Chris’s fun-loving sense of humor won Kari over the first time we met, and we have been inseparable ever since. We both grew up in western Pennsylvania and love everything Pittsburgh. Our favorite things to do together are hanging out with our two big dogs, traveling to new places, taking road trips back home to visit friends and family, and going to a variety of music concerts. Kari is a school counselor for a local elementary school and loves coaching the high school dance team. Chris is an elementary school music teacher and spends his free time coaching high school volleyball. When we are at home together, we enjoy cooking as well as relaxing outside.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a small town in Wisconsin with our two Bernese mountain dogs and two rescue cats. We have a three-bedroom house with a spacious backyard that overlooks a pond. Our neighborhood is filled with kids who are always outside playing together. We love to take our dogs on walks and stop to visit with neighborhood puppies. We enjoy spending our summer days sitting on our large stone patio, playing yard games, and finishing the night off by our firepit making s’mores. Our community includes a quaint small-town library, two playgrounds, and a dog park.

Our Extended Family

Family is a very important part of our lives, especially since we have moved to Wisconsin. Most of our family and friends live in Pennsylvania. Kari is the youngest of four; she has two older sisters and one older brother. All of Kari’s siblings are married and have children. Kari’s brother is currently in the Navy, and his family lives in Connecticut, along with her extended family. Chris has one sister, who lives in Pittsburgh with her husband.

We love going back home to visit with all of our family and friends! We always look forward to spending the holidays and vacations with Kari’s sister, her wife, and their new daughter; cooking in the kitchen; having family game nights; and planning the next getaway (especially going to Disney World)! Because Kari’s brother's family is always moving, we try to plan a vacation every time they reach a new location. We have had the chance to visit San Diego, Hawaii, and Virginia. Chris’s parents live about an hour from where Kari grew up, and we enjoy sharing time getting dinner and catching up.

We can’t wait to share all of our holiday traditions and family vacations with your little one!

What Led Us To Adoption

Since day one, we always knew we wanted to have a family. After a doctor visit, however, we learned it would be very dangerous to Kari’s wellbeing for her to have children naturally, so we turned to adoption. We would love the chance to grow our family and share all of the things we love to do with a child.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
