dear expectant mother

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. While we can’t begin to fully comprehend the difficult and complex layers of emotions and thoughts you are going through, we can provide you with these promises and hopes for your child.

We promise a home filled with love and endless opportunities for growth. We imagine them learning to play instruments, catching grasshoppers around their grandpa’s farm, and ice skating during Chicago Christmases. In our backyard, we picture a little tree fort where they can unleash their imagination. There will be adventures to different countries opening their eyes to different cultures, traditions, and perspectives. We want them to embrace the world with an open heart and a thirst for knowledge. Above all, we want your child to have the freedom to grow into the person they dream of becoming. We will be their biggest cheerleaders, providing unwavering support, encouragement, and guidance by nurturing their passions, championing their dreams, and standing by their side as they navigate life.

Know we are here for you every step of the way, ready to listen, support, and honor your wishes. We want to build a relationship based on trust, transparency, and mutual respect, ensuring that you remain an important part of your child's life, if that is your desire. Your strength and courage inspire us, and we are hopeful for the opportunity to create a lasting bond that not only honors your incredible love for your child but also celebrates the beautiful connection between our families.

About Us

Hello, we’re Josh and Cory! We’ve been together for over eight years, and after becoming engaged this past December, we married in January. Cory, from rural Tennessee, has a stoic and logical personality, is a non-profit chief strategy and operating officer, is an avid reader and a history buff, and loves professional challenges. Meanwhile, Josh, originally from the Chicago area, is playful and creative, owns a personal training studio, and enjoys weightlifting, writing music, and hosting dinner parties. Despite our distinct personalities, our values align, creating an extremely well-rounded home. We share a passion for the outdoors, exploring new places, and relaxing on the river. We also treasure movie and pizza nights on the couch. We’re each other's best friend and have worked so hard together to get to this point in our lives.

Our Home & Pets

Situated on the city-facing side of a mountain ridge in Tennessee, our restored 1900 two-story Victorian home with three bedrooms and two baths sits nestled on a tranquil three-acre wooded property. Our backyard seamlessly connects to a quiet 50-acre preservation featuring a private trail—an outdoor haven for kids. Within 5-10 minutes, we have access to top-notch schools, the city’s riverwalk and aquarium, and countless hiking trails. Mornings find us on the covered front porch savoring coffee. Our ten-person kitchen table is the hub for board games and dinner parties. Luna and Sola, our rescue pups, love sunbathing and playing fetch in the side yard. Our home is full of warmth, laughter, and love, and it honestly holds a special place in our hearts.

Our Extended Family

Cory's family is just an hour away, so we visit them at least once a month and spend the holidays together. Cory has an older brother and sister, each with two children ranging from 3 to 11 years old, whom we love being uncles to. We make it a priority to stay connected with Cory's mother, who cares for his grandmother, and we visit them frequently. Cory's dad and stepmom own a small cattle farm, where we enjoy taking the golf cart for rides and visiting the baby cows. With Cory’s dad having multiple siblings, family get-togethers are always packed and filled with laughter, especially during the holiday season.

Josh’s family is located a short distance from Chicago. While we may not see them as frequently, we make it a point to visit at least once a year. Josh has three brothers and a sister, two of whom are still in high school. There are no grandchildren yet, so Josh's mother is beyond excited at the possibility of becoming a grandma. Josh shares a close bond with his grandmother and his father, who lives next door. During our Christmas visits, we have a couple traditions, like selecting new ornaments from the Christkindlmarkt and gathering at Josh’s aunt’s house to make Christmas tamales.

What Led Us To Adoption

We’ve chosen adoption for several meaningful reasons. First, many of our close friends have personal connections to adoption, either being adopted themselves, being married to an adoptee, or having chosen adoption themselves. Their guidance has provided us with insights into the expectations, realities, and beauty of adoption. Also, our decision was reinforced when Josh had the opportunity to meet a couple who recently adopted in April who live just a block away from his gym. Additionally, he just reconnected with a high school friend and her husband who had adopted in May, both of whom went through Angel Adoption. Their shared experiences confirmed that we were on the right path and of adoption's ability to create loving and nurturing families.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
