We are honored that you would choose to review our profile and give us the opportunity to introduce ourselves. It is difficult to imagine what you must be facing regarding this decision and we admire the generous spirit and love that has prompted you to choose adoption for your child. Know that whether or not you choose us for your child, we will be praying for you.
Our extended family members are very excited and supportive of our plan to adopt and will be very welcoming of this precious one into our lives. Several of them are still growing their families, so your child will grow up surrounded by plenty of cousins near in age. We would love the opportunity to know you better and provide any additional love and support you need. If you choose to place your child with us he or she will be part of a warm and caring family and will be taught to honor your generous and selfless decision. We pray for wisdom and peace in your heart as you consider your decision.
We met at church while we were both in college. After graduation, Joseph went into the army and Erin started her career as a Trauma/E.R. nurse. When Erin’s father passed away suddenly, we began corresponding to support each other first through that, then through the difficult environments in which we were working. After a time of long-distance correspondence, we realized friendship was turning to love. We were married in 2006 when Joseph completed his active military commitment. He began a career with Amazon.com, which he continues today. Three years ago, Erin quit her job as a nurse to be a homemaker and looks forward to continuing this role as we grow our family.
We both enjoy being active, going to the gym together on Saturdays, and then out for lunch. We also enjoy traveling, especially internationally, going to the theatre, taking the dogs to the dog park, and spending time with extended family. We attend mass together every Sunday and Erin sings in the parish choir. Individually, Erin enjoys playing the piano, cooking, crocheting, reading, running, and being part of a Catholic spirituality group. Joseph enjoys soccer, working out, being involved with the men’s group at our church, and playing classical guitar.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a house in a suburban neighborhood near a large city. The neighborhood has a lot of parks and running/walking trails through wooded areas. We enjoy that it is a quiet neighborhood while still being an easy walk to shops and restaurants. When we moved here last spring, we were excited to be near extended family again as both of us come from large, close families and had missed this while living overseas. We own two dogs, Sabrina and Keegan, both Chocolate Labrador Retrievers. We bought Sabrina as a puppy from a local farmer the year after we were married. Keegan joined us five years later as a rescue. He is about 7 years old now.
Our Extended Family
We both come from large, close extended families and despite being spread out, we still try to get together for holidays. We both are good friends with our cousins, aunts, and uncles. Joseph’s parents visited for Thanksgiving and Erin’s mother, sister, brother-in-law, nieces and nephew visited for several weeks over Christmas. We live near a large portion of Erin’s extended family who we see regularly for family meals and celebrations. We each have one older sister and they are both married with children. Joseph’s sister has one daughter, and Erin’s sister has three daughters and a son. We visit as often as possible and video chat frequently.
What Led Us To Adoption
We always knew we both wanted children. It was one of the earliest conversations we had once we started dating. We were both healthy and never dreamed we would have trouble conceiving. After years of failed fertility treatments, we made the decision to adopt. We had seen so many of our friends who had grown their families through adoption that we came to believe this would be a joyous experience for our family. After some struggles trying to adopt whilst living abroad, we moved to our current home in the Midwest, and surrounded and encouraged by family we are joyously hoping to grow our family through the adoption process.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
