Dear Birthmom

We thank you for considering us as your child’s future adoptive parents and for taking the time to get to know us. We can only imagine what you are going through, and we understand this must be a difficult time. But we want to let you know that, if you choose us as adoptive parents, your child will be cherished, protected, and loved.

We believe that the meaning of “family” includes more than blood relatives, and that, sometimes, the people that you choose to share your life with leave stronger bonds that last a lifetime. This is the case with the precious baby girl we fostered, and who is now reunited with her relatives.

We also believe in the importance of knowing where one comes from, and that one must have an unconditional love in order to consider adoption for their child. If you choose us, we promise to let your child know his or her birth and adoption story and to do all that we can to let him or her see how loved he or she is - by you and us. In addition to that, we promise to do everything we can to raise your child into a healthy and strong adult. We are grateful for your consideration, and for taking the time to get to know us.

About Us

We are Jose and Eloy. We were born and raised in Puerto Rico. We have been together since we fell in love nine years ago, and we have been married for three years. Since we met, we lived in Puerto Rico for four years and then moved to Illinois in 2012. Jose studied medicine and currently works as a Primary Care Physician in a clinic, while Eloy is in the National Guard and studies computer science. Our passion is to travel every year to a different part of the world and learn about other people, cultures, and traditions. For the last few years, we have considered expanding our family. We would like 2018 to be the year we can add a new member to our family.

Our Home & Pets

We have lived in Illinois since 2012, and we share our two bedroom apartment with our two cats, many fish, plants, and a hamster. Our neighborhood is very diverse and safe, and it has a good transportation system. We have great schools nearby and a lot of places to go and things to do, such as go to restaurants, stores, parks, and museums. All seasons are special and beautiful, but the summer and the fall are our favorites because we can do outdoor activities such as running, biking, and going to the lake and the beach.

Our Extended Family

Most of our blood-family still lives in Puerto Rico, including as our parents, and some siblings, nieces, and nephews. We keep in contact constantly by phone and video calls, as well as by seeing each other. We fly to and from the island. We try to visit them at least once a year. We also have friends in different states, such as Illinois, Wisconsin, Florida, and Georgia, whom we consider part of our family. They are always there when we need them. We meet with our friends at least twice a year to celebrate birthdays, holidays, vacations and many festivities together. We are lucky to count on the support and love of our friends and family in everything we do, especially in this adoption process.

What Led Us To Adoption

Last year, in 2017, we had the opportunity to be foster parents for a ten-day-old baby girl. She changed our lives forever. We learned how to be fathers and we spent the most wonderful three-and-half months with her. Being her foster fathers was the greatest of all experiences we have ever had in our lives. She opened our hearts to adopt a child.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
