dear expectant mother
We are so grateful that you are considering us to raise and love your baby. We can’t imagine how hard this decision is for you, and we would like to be here for you every step of the way. We’re praying for you, that you may have strength and find peace through this process.
We are excited to share our family traditions with your baby. We’ll make cookies at Christmas, hunt eggs at Easter, go to the parade on the Fourth of July, go to the lake in August, and have fun playing games on Thanksgiving. We would love to share our love of the outdoors and watching the seasons change every year. Our church has a great children's program that your baby can enjoy, and the schools in our city are rated with excellence. We will start new traditions of reading bedtime stories every night and catching fireflies in the summer, jumping in the leaves in the fall and building snowmen and going sledding in the winter.
We will support you through this process and be in contact as much or as little as you feel comfortable. We will love your baby unconditionally and guide them in every way possible to help them fulfill their dreams. Because of your kind heart and selflessness, our prayers are getting answered.
We met while we were both working at the local hospital. We lost touch when Nelson got deployed, but we reconnected when he returned to his job at the hospital and Joni was visiting after her dad’s surgery. We quickly realized it must have been a sign from God that we were meant to be together, so we married in January 2015. Nelson works as a State Trooper and a military police officer in the Army, and Joni works at our church's daycare. We are both youth leaders at our church, and when we’re not working, we love going for walks, fishing, and snuggling up next to the fire while watching movies together.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a four-bedroom ranch on six acres. It’s right across from the high school, where we can hear the marching band and football games from our porch, and you can see beautiful sunrises and rainbows in the backyard and sunsets in the front. We have a garden and a pond, where we will teach your baby to fish, and we also have a dog named Bella. We can’t wait to bring your baby on the walks we take with Bella around the neighborhood, to nearby parks, and on the path by the river. We also have chickens, and we hope to show your baby the joy of collecting eggs and enjoying the outdoors as much as we do.
Our Extended Family
Nelson has one sister, and his parents have been married for 32 years. We go out to eat with them and his grandpa once a month and catch up on what is going on in everyone’s lives. Your baby will be the first grandchild for Nelson’s parents!
Joni has three older brothers, and her parents have been married for 43 years. We recently started going on a one-week vacation with them to a different place every year. We’re so excited to bring your baby with us and introduce them to new and exciting places. Your baby will be the third grandchild for Joni’s parents.
Our families are very supportive of us and our adoption journey. We get together with Joni’s immediate and extended family for all holidays. We can’t wait for your baby to hunt eggs with the kids on Easter and open presents and stockings with all of the cousins at Christmas. We also go to a lake in Michigan for two weeks every year, where we fish, go on boat rides, play board games, have campfires, and build sandcastles. This is our favorite tradition that has been going on since before we were born, and we are so excited to share it with your baby.
What Led Us To Adoption
Since the day we got married, we knew we wanted to grow our family and have children. Although it was not in God’s plan for us to have children biologically, we have always had adoption on our mind and in our hearts. Joni’s brother adopted his daughter six years ago, and she has brought so much joy to our family. There are also a few families in our church that have wonderful adoption stories that give us hope. We can’t wait to experience the miracle of adoption and share our love with your baby.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
