dear expectant mother

Thank you for taking the time to read our letter and for considering us as parents to your baby. You were chosen to bring this child into the world, and we honor you for nurturing him or her with your strength and courage. We can’t tell you what a blessing it would be to love and raise your baby, and we pray you have peace in this difficult time. We know you want the best for your baby; trust your heart, and it will guide you in your decisions.

We will love your child unconditionally and will raise him or her to know and trust in Jesus. We will teach them that people and relationships are more important than material things, and we look forward to passing on the tradition of spending time with extended family, not only for birthdays and holidays, but on ordinary days, too.

We both have special traditions to share with your child, like shopping at the home improvement store and building projects together and baking a variety of yummy treats at home, things we’ve experienced with our own parents, grandparents, and siblings. If you choose us, your child will know of your loving sacrifice, and you will always be in our hearts. We pray for you and respect you no matter what you decide.

About Us

We met while working in our college cafeteria (John believes Mary-Lynette purposely sprayed him with water while cleaning the dishwasher to get his attention; Mary-Lynette claims she was just doing her job). We dated for three years and married after graduation, and even now we still laugh at each other’s jokes and encourage each other to try new things. John works as a senior software development engineer and has designed many new computer products, and Mary-Lynette teaches French and Spanish. John enjoys woodworking, technology, building things, and playing the Irish tin whistle. Mary-Lynette enjoys learning about other cultures, writing, cooking, and exploring nature. Together, we enjoy stargazing and traveling the United States and abroad.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a three-bedroom, two-bath, split-level house with a large backyard and a garden, including raspberry bushes that produce juicy berries in spring, summer and early fall! We live on a cul-de-sac with lots of friendly neighbors and children, and each Fourth of July we all get together for a party with yard games, a bounce-house, food, and fireworks. One family’s dog loves to sit outside and greet all the neighbors in her “pack,” and we always go say hello to her when walking by. We’re so excited for your baby to meet all the caring neighbors!

Our Extended Family

We’re very close to our extended families and get together with them often at home or for a meal out. John’s parents, sister, brother-in-law, and niece live in the area, and his parents host Christmas, Easter, birthday, and summer barbecue parties. John’s other sister and her family live out of state, and we always look forward to their yearly visits. We recently vacationed with everyone at Disney World and had a blast riding rides and watching parades, and shows together, and everyone is looking forward to going again with the newest member of the family!

Mary-Lynette’s mom, two brothers, sister-in-law, six nieces and nephews, and many cousins live in-state, and several cousins live in Iowa. Some of her favorite memories include going to Grandma and Grandpa’s house in Iowa for holidays and summer vacations, with loads of cousins, aunts, and uncles gathered around. Now, we get to love and encourage our nieces, nephews, and cousins’ kids as we gather for baptisms, school activities, sports, holidays, and vacations. Our big, loving family is very supportive of us adopting and is waiting for that special phone call.

What Led Us To Adoption

We always knew we wanted children to love and raise to make our family complete, and when we realized we couldn’t have biological children, we were excited to pursue adoption. Adoption is a beautiful way to create a family and is already a part of Mary-Lynette’s extended family, as her brother’s wife was adopted and her cousins recently adopted a child, as well. Everyone in our extended families is very excited we’re adopting, and they can’t wait to meet the newest member of the family!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
