We can’t begin to express the depth of respect that we feel for you. You are making an incredibly difficult, yet very brave and selfless decision that shows the amount of love you have for your child.
We want to provide your child with every opportunity to do what they want to do and be what they want to be. We will support them, encourage them, and guide them as they navigate through life. We will be their biggest cheerleaders, their voice of reason, and their calm in any storm.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read our profile. We feel so honored to be considered as adoptive parents, and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as you continue through this journey.
Hi! We are Katie and Joe. Our passion for working with special kids is what brought us together. Katie is a middle school special education teacher and Joe is a paraprofessional at a school for children with significant disabilities. Joe enjoys coaching Special Olympics and Katie volunteers for various events for the park district’s special recreation program. Each year, we take part in the Polar Plunge to raise money for the Special Olympics. We also enjoy watching Notre Dame football and going to games together. We love our day-to-day life...from grocery shopping to household projects, to taking long walks, to staying in for a good old fashioned movie night…being together is our favorite thing.
Our Home & Pets
We own a 3-bedroom home in Katie’s hometown. We are a close-knit community filled with opportunities and traditions, including our annual town festival that is anticipated and enjoyed by people of all ages. We share our home with our two rescue dogs, Farrah and Paxton. They have both shown us how gentle they are when our friends’ babies and children have been in our home, and we know they will love another set of hands to pet them!
Our Extended Family
Katie grew up with an older brother and a small extended family. From fishing trips to family cook outs, they built many family traditions that are still in place to this day. Joe is the oldest child in his family, with three younger sisters. His extended family is very large, with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Growing up, they enjoyed many family vacations and made memories that will last a lifetime. Although the sizes of our families differ, the values that we share are very much the same. Our parents live close by, making it very easy to spend quality time with them. Our siblings live in surrounding towns, except for one of Joe’s sisters who lives out of state. We love gathering for special occasions and holidays, and always have the best time when we’re together. Our family is filled with so much love and support, and they are all waiting with open hearts and open arms to multiply the love we already share.
What Led Us To Adoption
Once we were married, we began trying to start a family but were faced with infertility. We truly felt that God had another plan for us and the desire to adopt was placed in our hearts. Joe and his younger sister were adopted, so adoption is something that we value and embrace.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
