dear expectant mother

Thank you for considering adoption and taking time to view our profile. We understand this is a very difficult decision for you, but we are very grateful to you for giving us the opportunity to start our family by giving your child a home filled with love and laughter. We are very excited to be parents and want you to know we will be with you every step of the way.

We hope to share our experiences and unconditional love with your child, just like Jim’s parents did for him. Your child will be part of a family that is always there for each other, to celebrate success and learn from mistakes, to grow and take every opportunity.

You are giving us hope for the family we have always wanted. We truly admire your courage. We would be honored to be chosen as the parents of your child.

About Us

We are Janet and Jim, and we have been happily married for ten years. We love to make each other laugh, have fun, and just enjoy each other’s company. We can’t think of a day we haven’t made each other smile or laugh and feel loved. Janet works from home as an Implementation Project Manager, and Jim is a Senior Print Operator. Most evenings after work, we cook dinner together, enjoy our dog’s company, watch TV, and do chores. On the weekends, we enjoy going to the movies or just relaxing with family and friends. We also enjoy going on road trips to see the country and taking long weekends to go to a baseball game or attend an auto race. Now, we are ready to expand our family and add a little one to the mix!

Our Home & Pets

We live in a small western suburb of Chicago, in a two-bedroom townhome in a very friendly and quiet neighborhood. Many of our neighbors also have children, and they all play together. There is a playground just a short walk from our home, and we enjoy going on walks there with our Norwich Terrier mix, Sherman. Every day we come home, he is there to greet us with a toy, eager to play. Sherman is great with children, and he loves to play and cuddle. Our nieces and nephew give him lots of pets, hugs, and treats whenever they see him, so we know he’ll love a permanent kid in the house!

Our Extended Family

Janet’s family is very close and consists of her parents, who have been married for 46 years, and two older sisters, who are twins. Her sister Lynn and Lynn’s eight-year-old daughter live nearby, so we spend a lot of our time with them. Her sister Lori lives in California with her ten-year-old daughter, who is also our goddaughter, and a twelve-year-old son. They come to visit every summer, and we take vacation time to make sure we see them, as well as visit them in Cali every year. Janet also has a 92-year-old grandmother who lives only minutes from her parents.

Jim is an only child. His parents have been married 45 years, and he is very close with both of them.

Luckily, we live within thirty minutes of both families, so we can have family dinners together regularly. Being so close, we often celebrate holidays together with both sides of the family.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have been surrounded by how wonderful adoption can be. Jim was very blessed to have been adopted by his parents as a newborn, and so when we started discussing marriage and having children, we both agreed that adoption would always be an option. In addition to Jim being adopted, he also has two cousins who were also adopted, and our niece was adopted through Angel Adoptions. Adoption has always been in our hearts, and after trying to have a child for three years on our own and using fertility treatments, we decided the time is now. We are excited to start this journey towards growing our family.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
