dear expectant mother
Thank you for considering adoption and taking time to view our profile. We understand this is a very difficult decision for you, but are very grateful to you for giving us the opportunity to start our family by giving your child a home filled with love and laughter. We are very excited to be adoptive parents and want you to know we will be with you every step of the way.
We hope to share our experiences and unconditional love with your child, just like my husband’s parents who adopted him many years ago and my sister who adopted her daughter through Angel Adoption. Your child will be part of a family that is always there for each other and willing to do anything for each other. We just want to say thank you again for the opportunity you are giving us and your child. You are giving us hope for the family we have always wanted. We truly admire your decision and know it is not an easy one. We would be honored to be chosen as the adoptive parents of your child.
We are Janet and Jim. We have been happily married for 9 years. We love to make each other laugh, have fun in life, and just enjoy each other’s company. I can’t think of a day that Jim hasn’t made me smile or laugh and feel loved. Jim was very blessed to have been adopted by his parents as a newborn. When we started discussing marriage and having children, we both agreed that adoption would always be an option. Janet has worked in payroll for 12 years and is an Implementation Project Manager and Jim is a Print Operator. Most evenings after work we spend together cooking dinner at home, enjoying our dog’s company, watching TV and doing chores. On Saturdays Janet volunteers at an animal shelter to help find homeless dogs and cats forever homes. On the weekends we enjoy going to the movies or just relaxing with friends and family. We also enjoy going on road trips to see the country, taking long weekends to go to a baseball game, to see my Cubs or his White Sox play, or attend an auto race.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a small western suburb of Chicago. We have a two-bedroom apartment home in a great community. There are only three other apartment homes on our floor, so it is very quiet. We feel very safe and at home in our community and town. Many of our neighbors also have children and they all play together. There is a playground in the center of the complex, along with a large pool, and volleyball court. We enjoy walking our dog, Sherman, through the beautifully landscaped property. He especially likes to watch the ducks that visit the pond and play with the other resident dogs. Sherman is a 1 year old Norwich Terrier mix. Every day we come home he is there to greet us with a toy and wanting to play. Sherman is great with children, he loves to play and cuddle. He loves our 6-year-old niece who gives him lots of pets, hugs, and of course treats whenever she sees him.
Our Extended Family
Janet’s family is very close and consists of her parents, who have been married for 46 years, and two older sisters who are twins. Her sister Lynn and her 6-year-old daughter live nearby so we are able to spend a lot of time with them. Janet’s grandmother is 92 and lives only minutes from her parents. Janet’s sister Lori lives in California, and has a 9-year-old daughter, who is also our goddaughter, and an 11-year-old son. They come to visit every summer and we try to visit at least once a year. Jim is an only child. His parents have been married 45 years. He is very close with his parents. Since we all live within 30 minutes of each other we can have family dinner together a couple times a month.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have been surrounded by how wonderful adoption can be. Jim was adopted by his parents as a newborn. Jim has two cousins who were also adopted and then our niece who was adopted through Angel Adoptions. With Jim being adopted, adoption had always been an option with us. After trying to have a child for 3 years on our own and fertility treatments we decided adoption was right for us. We could have spent more money and further treatments, but our doctor told us we would only have a ten percent chance at conceiving. At that point we felt adoption was always meant for us. We are excited to start this journey towards growing our family.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
