We can’t begin to thank you enough for considering us in what we imagine is the most important decision you’ll make. We want you to know that not only do we completely respect and honor your decision but we hope it’s one you’re at peace with. Raising your baby as our own child would be the biggest gift we ever receive and one we will forever be grateful for. If you choose us, your child will forever know the kind of love you had for them throughout this decision. They will know that although it was not easy, love was the sole purpose of your decision, and their lives will forever reflect that.
Our future child will undoubtedly be surrounded by love by not only us but our extended family and friends. As a couple, we take each other’s perspective and emotions into consideration in every decision we make. We know how to have fun, we know how to put in a tough day’s work, and we always find a way to come together and celebrate both of those in the end. We want nothing but the absolute best for not only your child but you as well. We only hope we can be a part of your journey and your child’s future.
About Us
We’re Jake and Jess, best friends and high school sweethearts. Our relationship began in eleventh grade, and growing up together has been one of the best parts of our relationship. We have been together for 12 years total, seven of them married. Jake is a Journeyman in HVAC. He’s hardworking, smart, and caring. He has a way of making everyone around him laugh. Jess is a medical device rep. She is nurturing, generous, and always willing to help anyone in need. She specializes in entertaining and has the ability to make everyone feel comfortable, not to mention she's a great cook! Jake has always been an outdoorsman; his favorite is trout fishing in Northern Iowa. While Jess also enjoys the outdoors, she prefers the golf course! When we’re not outside, you can catch us keeping up with our favorite teams, the St Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, and our Iowa Hawkeyes!
Our Home & Pets
We live in a small suburb of one of the largest cities in Iowa. We’re close to all the luxuries of the city with the charm of the small town we grew up in. We love our city: living walking distance to parks, the town square, many local restaurants, and the public schools. We have lived in our three-bedroom and two-bathroom home for the last six years. We fell in love with the backyard and cherish making this house our home. Our backyard is our own oasis from early spring through late fall. We love to entertain, spending time on our covered patio or cooling off in our pool. We have two loving pups: Hank, our spunky schnauzer mix, and Barry, our boxer and a gentle giant.
Our Extended Family
We both have very loving and fun families. We’re very close to much of our extended family and love having game nights. Jess’s family loves to play cards, specifically pitch, while Jake’s family always plays a competitive dice game called Greedy Greedy.
We each have one sister. They live in Mississippi and Colorado, and we love to visit them. Our parents all live within two hours from us, and Jake's grandparents are just a ten-minute drive away! Our families each make it a priority to see each other often and always make the most of our time together. Jess’s parents are both amazing cooks, and one of our favorite traditions is having her dad’s smoked brisket every Christmas.
What Led Us To Adoption
When discussing our future family, we always knew we would adopt because of the positive impact it has had on our lives. One of Jess’s most cherished relationships is with her aunt who was adopted. Jake’s stepdad took him in as his own, and Jake always wanted to pass that kind of love and acceptance on to his children. After finding out we’re unable to conceive a biological child, we knew adoption was meant to be. We know everything truly happens for a reason, and we can’t wait to welcome a little one into our lives. We are so excited to choose adoption, and our family, friends, and all those around us are just as elated.

Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
