dear expectant mother

We want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves. As we write this letter, we are filled with so many emotions: excitement to be dads, nervousness about the unknowns to come, and love for each other and our future child. We have no idea how hard this decision is for you to make, but we admire your strength to choose adoption. Even though we may seem like strangers to you, we hope you have gotten to know us a little better through this letter.

Above everything else, we want to provide love to your child. We have talked much about how to raise your child and all the logistics, but there is nothing but love and acceptance in our household. We will provide all the opportunities we can to your child, from travel soccer and tuba lessons to family movie nights and study sessions after school. We also hope our children pick up the love for volleyball that we have! We understand growing up with two dads can be hard, but know that no one will show more love, support, and acceptance to their child than us. We are excited to complete our family with the piece it is missing.

About Us

We are Jeremy and Manny. We have been together for nine years and married for six. We met through an online dating app and hit it off right away. We adopted our son, Liam, in 2019. Jeremy is a middle school math teacher and enjoys working out, playing and watching volleyball, superhero movies and comics, board games, and puzzles. Manny is a chemistry professor at the local community college and enjoys playing and watching volleyball, gardening, bird watching, cooking, and photography. As a family, we love to be outside working in our three-acre yard, playing with Liam on his playground and in his sandbox, or walking our two dogs, Gizmo and Hoagie, throughout our forest trails.

Our Home & Pets

We live in the country outside a smaller town that is a few miles from a large city. We like the quiet of the country, and our three acres provide lots of space for Liam and our two dogs to run around. Gizmo is our fourteen-year-old terrier that Manny rescued from the side of the interstate, and Hoagie is our four-year-old beagle we adopted from Manny’s place of employment. We chose to move to our house six years ago so our children would go to the same school district Jeremy works at. Our location is perfect because we have peace and privacy while being just a few miles away from lots of opportunities.

Our Extended Family

Jeremy’s parents and brothers all live within an hour and a half of our house. This makes it easy to get together for family gatherings or just a day trip to hang out with family. We get together at least once a month, and Liam loves going to Mimi and Grampa’s house to see the tractors and hang out with all of the cats. Jeremy is one of three brothers, and as of right now, Liam is the only grandchild.

Manny’s entire family lives in Puerto Rico; he is one of five siblings. We make a trip yearly to go visit them so Liam can see all of his cousins. He is the youngest cousin of a very large family, and they all love hanging out with him!

Our Adoption Story

We adopted our son, Liam, in July of 2019. We have always felt that adoption was the way we wanted to expand our family. From a young age, Jeremy always wanted to adopt a child, and when we met, we shared an interest in wanting to adopt. Our family is at a place where we are ready to expand once again, and we are excited to grow our family through adoption.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
