dear expectant mother

We want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves. As we write this letter, we are filled with so many emotions; excitement to be dads, nervousness of the unknown to come, and love for each other and our future child. We have no idea how hard this decision is for you to make, but we admire your strength in choosing adoption. Even though we are virtually strangers, we hope that you have gotten to know us a little better through this letter.

Above everything else, we want to provide love to your child. We have talked often about how to raise our child and all the logistics, but know that there is nothing but love and acceptance in our household. We look forward to providing the opportunity to play sports, study music, or whatever their heart desires. We will support them in being fully themselves. We also hope that our child picks up the love for volleyball that we have! We understand that growing up with two dads can be hard, but know that no one will show more love, support, and acceptance to their child than us.

About Us

Jeremy is a middle school music teacher and Manny is an Associate Professor of Chemistry at a local community college. Both of us love working with kids as we both coach volleyball, Jeremy coaching at his middle school and Manny coaching at a local high school. Besides coaching, both of us love to play volleyball, recreationally or in local tournaments and leagues. We like to stay active. We love to travel and have been on multiple vacations together. Jeremy is a big fan of superhero comics and movies, enjoys playing music on a variety of instruments, and cleaning. Manny loves cooking, gardening, and photography. We love to do almost anything together, from watching college volleyball to working outside in the yard.

Our Home & Pets

Our three-bedroom house is in the country of rural Illinois. We have three and a half acres of land and love the space and peacefulness that we have. We have made several changes to our home since we purchased it, and we have a few more ideas before it becomes our dream home. Our two dogs Mocha, a chocolate lab, and Gizmo, a terrier, are both super friendly, love playing with kids, and we adopted them from the local shelter. We live in a smaller community of about 1500 people that is just ten miles away from a metropolitan area with a lot of culture and opportunities. Jeremy teaches at the local middle school and we have felt very welcome, moving to the community five years after Jeremy started working here.

Our Extended Family

Jeremy has two brothers and his parents live about an hour away from us. We are constantly visiting for birthdays, holidays and other family occasions. Jeremy’s parents do not have any grandchildren yet, and are very excited about becoming grandparents for the first time. Manny has two brothers and two sisters. His parents and siblings all live in Puerto Rico. We make a trip at least once a year to spend time with them in Puerto Rico, having family get togethers, where we play dominos and drink hot cocoa. All of Manny’s siblings have children, so it is a big family with a lot of love to give to another addition to the family.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have both always wanted children in our family and feel we are at a good place in our relationship together to bring a child into our home. Adoption has always been the journey that we thought about traveling to complete our family. Jeremy works with a teacher who has adopted several children. Jeremy taught one of them in band and she later went on to play volleyball for Manny in high school. We think seeing the impact that this family has had on their daughter has made us want to adopt even more. Throughout our years working with a variety of different children, we know that we can provide a loving, supportive home and what better way to do that, than through adoption?

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
